First post written in Italy, last post for the year 2014 :)

It has yet been another one year of hectic, always unbelieving that the year has passed just like that. Seems like there were quite a few major events that took place this year for me.

Work related
1) Took up a new role in EL department as a EL coordinator. Stress level was high as everyone in the upper primary level looked towards me to get answers for their queries...which I managed to clear them, slowly but evidently, along the way

2) Took a relatively weak class. Their results were at pit bottom when I took over but it was quite an achievement to see them start climbing out of the well :) Though it has been a really trying year with this lot of pupils, truancy, defiance, weak, lazy and poor results, it has been memorable too. Although not all stayed in the same class next year, I know I have made an impact in them. And I hope wherever they are, they will succeed in whatever they do :)

3) My volleyball Junior boys achieving 3rd in their zonal games and top 8 nationally. It was indeed heartwarming to see my little ones rise to the occasion and emerge strong and fierce in the volleyball arena. I see them fall, pick themselves up and grow. Though I will it be with them next year for the zonal games, I will support them morally and will look forward to them being in the Nationals again!

Personal life
1) The birth of our new home in Seng Kang! I see it grow week after week, in the absence of rongrong cuz he was away for work assignment in Italy. It was challenging, having to travel down to the northeast every weekend. However, it was also an achievement to see our love nest blossom and grow! :) Looking forward to Lao gong finishing with his work assignment next year and be back to stay with me in our nest!😘

2) Finally done with our wedding shoot in Sep, then our wedding banquet in November :) a very tedious but enjoyable process and it was with the witness from all my relatives, friends and colleagues I become Mrs Koh officially! 😍

3) Having our wedding honeymoon to Maldives! No words can describe how relaxing it was with the sun, sea and sand enveloping us everyday for the 7 days we were there! 😌

4) Accompanying rongrong back to Italy after trimming my hair short again! Hahaha...more importantly is the stay with him...was really looking forward to this break from school, all the issues and fights to win the honor, is a good break for me indeed after striving really hard for the past 3.5 years. Taking a good 3 months of no pay leave, will return to school with gusto, charged up and all ready again πŸ˜™

My first post in Italy, and the last one for the year. May 2015 be another great year with no natural disasters, no plane crash, no boat sink or on fire, no pupils playing truant, no quarrels in family, no back stabbing at work place. All family members to be of good health, great success and splendid achievements in the new year.

And, not forgetting, to countdown many many more anniversaries with my dearest rongrong 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘

Happy 5 years anniversary! 😊

Counting down to 16 November 2014 - 8 hours!

it is another 8 hours to the arrival of my rongrong to receive his bride! :D a little unbelievable but it is happening! :) yeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

a day where all my close relatives will come to congratulate us

a day where all our friends and colleagues will be there to witness the special day

a day where we will be treated like king and queen, prince and princess, male and female leads :p

a day...where i become Mrs Koh officially.

release of report books

what seems like an ordinary monday turns out to be a rather emotional one.

it was the day that i have to inform my pupils who are the ones being channelled to the foundation stream. 10 pupils are going to the foundation stream. not within my expectation. and it seems that all i takes is their results and i don't have much say in this. however during the sbb meeting on 4 Nov, it seems that the p gives me the respect for me to see whether the other pupils from the other classes are really suitable to be given the foundation stream. i didn't feel so strongly when i knew so many pupils are going out of my class. not until yesterday when i felt it so strongly.

one of my pupils was very shocked when he realised he was going into another class. when i called him out to ask about him, he cried. i felt very sad and i teared a little too. i felt that it was my fault not being able to help him enough to stay in the standard stream. :'(

and that episode happened before recess, one more after recess. the period after their music was supposed to be ftgp period.

i walked up the class and saw a group of 6 or 7 malay girls from my class standing outside the classroom. all teary and sad. then one of them urged each other to walk over to me...the next minute was indeed very memorable.

they all came forward to me to hug and cry and say that they will miss me. i told them that i may not be the teacher teaching them next year before their recess and they all cried...really hard. tears welled up in my eyes almost immediately as well. i was very touched by their hugs and tears...a few of them are changing class, most of them are staying in the standard stream. i think that instant was when i realised i really might have impacted their lives after all.

i don't know what to expect next year. almost every year, crying seems to be a usual routine for me. partly also because this year there was so much more additional stress for me in my new roles and duties in school and the changes in the other part of my life. i think i have grown much this year, much more experiences that i have shed tears for. i have to grow to be stronger, no more tears at work next time.

i will try  :)

this marks the end of the year.

and next up, i can finally settle my emotions at work and be all ready for my wedding! :)

not the right mood at this time

i realised i have not been updating my blog for so so so long. it has been a rather hectic year. new post, new duties, new responsibilities, new experiences and most importantly, a whole new bucket of tears and tiredness with it. i wouldn't say that since the start of my teaching has been a smooth-sailing one, neither has it been rocky nor totally unhappy. however, i have grown so much in these mere 3.5 years, having to see how hypocrites worked their way through and got the recognition, witnessed how those who called themselves my friends got jealous over whatever that i have, be it in school or at home, and then never the first to work their hands dirty with me when a programme was run by me. sucks like mad.

and now moving into another brand new year, there are again a whole lot of changes that i have to manage.

change of department

change of IP area in charge

change of RO (maybe), to someone whom i think don't really like me as well

change of a whole set of duties

giving up the post which i have really tried very hard to sustain in the year :(

how am i going to manage the difficulties ahead. somehow i can feel that i am leaving for my long-deserved holidays with a heavy heart. i shouldn't be having this kind of feelings. i have to let go of whatever that is causing me to think negatively and move on from there. however, i just feel the δΈη”˜ζ„Ώ. why is it that there are so many people, especially the heads, disliking me so much. sorry to say, but what is wrong with being capable. i have never ever on purpose, step on anybody's toes before but with all the help i rendered them, with all the effort that i had pumped in, i get them putting me down during ranking, i have them saying that i have taken too many awards and i don't deserve them. and what is on the number 1's mind really. i hate it to be moved around like an object. don't push me too far.

i can leave any time i want.

it is scary that they can drive me to have such thoughts in me nowadays.

thoughts that i have never ever thought of before.

A memorable half a year :)

It has been a while since i last blogged. My last post on my volleyball boys' into their top 8 nationals last game before they were officially out of the season. School term is definitely not a good time for blogging..because i may just end up blabbering or complaining about something that has happened in school. May is one of the the most hectic months in a year..top up with my first time participation in interministry-beach volleyball. It was our first time taking part in this yearly competition. My very first volleyball competition after my knee injury last year. To think we managed to win MHA, CPF and a few other ministries I forgot which ones and went into semi-finals, I think it was already an achievement! :) Stopped my physiotherapy sessions by the end of March and spent the rest of the time at home strengthening on my own. Jogging, push ups, squats and crunches..am becoming better but will never be the same as last time though :/ The end of May ended off with a parent-teacher meeting where I get to meet most of the parents from my class. I have the confidence that my pupils will become better academically, at least not going into the foundation stream next year. However, that would mean more work in the next two terms which I seriously don't dare to think about..had two sessions of volleyball training, CPS symposium which I shared about Real Love Works and the P5 camp welcomed the month of June before we call it a semester.

There comes the June holidays.

Within a blink of an eye it is coming to an end.

I think I've done a lot of stuff this June holidays...

1) Set P6 EL Prelim paper & a Math topical worksheet (another one will start doing soon)

2) Started reading a storybook but haven't finish :p

3) Accompanied my mum for her check up on eyes and ears

4) Met up with Lia for a meal

5) Picked rongrong up from airport! (the start of some happiest moments)

6) Received my new house keys on 17 June! :D

7) Went up to my new house to open the door on 18 June with my rongrong, mum, sis and mother-in-law and had a mini open door ceremony

8) 19 June had a facial and doing up my nails (gelish) for my wedding shoot. my third time doing nails for an important event! :D Also brought Lia to do her eyebrows! Am glad she likes it! :)

9) 20 June for wedding photoshoot! It was such an enjoyable day!!!! hahaha..had a lot of fun with my dearest lao gong! And he looks super handsome that day while I look very ahemmmm pretty! wheeee! Can't wait to see our photographs..but I am chanting to myself every day not to top up money for too many photos! >_<

10) 21 June - Desaru day trip with my family! :)))) Didn't head out for any overseas trip this June so thought should join my family for this short trip. It was tiring for both rongrong and i but i think it was still a good day spent together! :D

11) 22 June - Wedding videography! Had a great time today playing volleyball with my Synergy team mates! Though I was a bit disappointed when most of my girls team mates were not able to make it, I was very touched and appreciated the guys from coming down, and not to forget Vanessa and Ah Mann when I only whatsapp them this afternoon to join us for the game! So nice of them to specially make a trip down lehhhhh...I am sure the video will turn out to be very nice and wonderful! :D :D can't wait to see it in Aug when my rongrong is back again...

12) 23 June - up and coming, going to choose my house tiles and materials tomorrow before we head for our food tasting at Sheraton tomorrow night! :) Good food awaits us! Must eat to our fill before the hectic school term starts again! >_<

13) 27 June - up and coming! going to choose our wedding photographs! hahahaha..excited yet mindful at the same time! :PPP I'm hoping I won't have to top up more than 10 photos! That would mean another $680 already leh!!! Arghhhhh..all these companies and their business tactics! hehehe..

A well-spent June. Will end off June with a wedding lunch and dinner on 29 and 28 June respectively! hopefully July will kickstart on a brighter note (not when rongrong is not with me for my birthday........................and i have to rush off for course in the afternoon that day! :'( ) Hope all will go well in semester 2 and for my rongrong in italy too! :)

And soon it will be November!!!! (^_^) More updates to come! :)

final game 11 April :)

last game.

the end of season for my volleyball junior boys..they have come a long way to achieve what they have this year. From a team who went into west zone to lose almost every game they played, till today where the boys can dig, set and spike properly, i feel that they have grown so much over this one year. I can't wait to see them hit yet another milestone next year..aiming to see all of them jumping up to spike properly..

They have played very well today as well. With a score of 25-27, 25-21 and 25-22 the boys have definitely maximised their game play time! haha..but still, they played without regrets and held their cool when they were losing behind in terms of points. I think i am more gan ciong than them.....The last few points to the final whistle was definitely a memorable one..with my whole team cheering together, pressing on as one! If i can hug each and everyone of them, i would have done so! They r like my babies from birth, not that I am a mother already, but i really see them grow over the years..will definitely miss them when they graduate.......

Till the next year, we will return stronger, better and fiercer!

CPS Steady Ace!!!!!!!!!!!! :')

my volleyball boys at their best today :')

it was just too wonderful to see my boys play. they played without fear, they played without regrets..i must say they have peaked at their highest for this year. West Zone 3rd and Nationals Top 8..it hasnt been an easy feat. we have come a long way to achieve what we have today. against hongkah pri in just another one month and they played till their opppnents were afraid of them..what else can i ask for? one of my boys cried. Just as much as i consoled them that it is ok to lose, i feel disappointed myself..we didnt have a good lot into top 8 round. Perhaps it is god's way of telling us that it is about time we end our journey for the year..meeting 3 champions from the different zones is no joke. but to be able to fight like we r a champion is not easy too. I am very proud of my boys. With everything that I have fought for them, it is all worth it. I hope they will excel further than they did this year in the years to come, whether or not I am with them the next year..

Fight on, CPS volleyball :)

has been a while...

has been a while since I blogged about anything. too busy to blog about school..too tired to blog about school. it seems that I have reached my saturation point. I am very tired. or maybe I just need a break..but I don't see it coming any time soon.

the only comforting thing in school is to see my volleyball team becoming better; my pupils scoring well in exams...

I am looking forward to the end of first term, but I am reluctant to see it come as well because that would mean my lao gong going back to Italy.

emo.

and I think that is the reason why I am very down recently...

:'(
