wooohooo~~ this weekend was reali a hectic one but was a reali sweet and lovely one :) to be able to witness the union of rongrong's brother, jiaxiang, and his wife, may, is reali a nice experience for me. to be honest till then i haven attended any wedding of my friends as yet, think all still not yet financially-abled, so this wedding, stretching over ytd (ROM at punggol pier) and today (wedding lunch), is considered the first wedding that i attend in a position of a friend :) though i din witness the many hurdles that the couple had encountered together, somehow through the speech they made today on stage during their wedding lunch, i can feel that the couple reali had been through alot, having each other by the side during bad times, good times, and even once had to brave through life and death. the union of the two, is definitely the best thing that can happen to them and i wish them all the best! :D
ended my first week of practicum in cps, nth much to do other than oberving my CTs in their lessons, helping vanessa do some craft work for contact time, completing my NIE assignments and went back sch to submit one of them, nth much happen actually. maybe cuz of my previous TP experience, somehow this time round i am more prepared and systematic when i plan my stuff to complete tasks. somehow this time round the feeling is a bit diff from the other time, maybe cuz some teachers are not around anymore, the sch environment feels not as lively as before too. but after all i have reali nice CTs and classes which i think i can build reali good rappot with after this 10weeks. have started planning for my lessons which will only start the week after next cuz of the CAs my classes are having this coming week. good that i have more time to prepare and do up more manipulatives too! :) im sure i have more things to blog abt once i start teaching :)

a nice visit to rongrong's colleague's house :)
wow, my first time stepping into a $2.5 million worth house that is 4 levels high leh! haha...sounds a bit sua gu but seriously i dun think i will ever get to stay in such house unless i suddenly strike toto overnight :P went over to rongrong's group head, Ramona's house for a small gathering :) very nice of her to invite them over and allowing them to bring their partners along :) their house is reali nice leh, just like any condominium where we have to enter through a gate. but of cuz this is alot more expensive than a condominium!! haha...dunno to classify it as a bungalow or terrace, but i know is reali a beautiful and BIG place to stay in. took bus 138 from amk hub after watching 127hours with rongrong, wanted to take a cab in but we realised we were too early, so took a bus instead and walked in through a long stretch of road. i think the place is reali quite ulu and without a car it gets quite tedious to have to walk in everyday back from sch/work. haha...but since we were reali early (suppose to reach ard 630 or 7 but we reached at abt 6 instead) so we had a slow and romantic walk in :D had to find abit for the unit cuz we werent sure of how the units inside were arranged. so we sort of walked the long way in and out before we reached Ramona's house. and there they were, her 3 little darlings sitting in the living room, two watching the cartoon while the other, the youngest having his dinner at the dining table :) after that we walked around the hse abit and the youngest child, Marcus, took us to their playroom at level 4. haha...i reali love him cuz he is just so cute!!! hahaha...buay tahan lor. and shd see the way he climbed the many flights of stairs. look reali tedious for him but he is so determined to show off his games for us. haha...and for the rest of the time we were playing in the games room with the 3 darlings (the other 2 came up and join us after their cartoon ended)while waiting for the rest of rongrong's colleagues to reach.
after which was dinner time and we all proceeded down to eat. though we dun have a proper dining table, just a bench-top to place all the food, i think is reali nice to just stand around and eat, talking to one another, or sit around and watch the kids play their wii games :) and when the adults were all done with eating, our turn to play wii! haha...rongrong and i had a game of boxing oh! heehee...my rongrong won me of cuz, but i din die in the game orh! is just that he is that teeny weeny bit better than me when counting the stats :P haha...and i think the rest of his colleagues had fun watching us play too. passed on to the other couple to play cuz after one game is reali tiring -_-! arms aching like mad! haha...think is good training for vb eh? :P so we sat around awhile more before Ramona made dessert for all of us! it was hot chocolate fudge with ice cream! very very nice leh, but too bad im still coughing so i din eat alot too. if only i have oven at home then can make it for my rongrong to eat cuz he likes it alot too :) next time next time! :) and then it was two group photos before we all said goodnight cuz the children were all tired and dozing off as well. left the beautiful house and took a cab with rongrong back home :)
oh ya, and did i mention abt the movie rongrong brought me to watch! damn gross can............i think i reali cannot stand bloody scenes!!!!!! and to think that this movie was a real-life story of this guy who got trapped in one of the canyon he went exploring when a rock fell down and his right hand was stuck, thus he was trapped there for 127 hours! during this time he tried his best to free himself and tried very hard to keep himself alive with the minimal amount of water left. during this time alot of different thoughts went through his mind. it was until 127 hours when he decided to chop off his arm to free himself. and if he had a saw that can chop it off instantly is still not too bad, but he only had those multipurpose penknife and he had to slit off slowly his skin and then break off the bone by himself @___@ gross to the max!!!!!!!! while describing i oso feel like vomitting!!! that 5minutes i used my jacket to block my view totally cuz i reali cannot take such scenes. think this explains why the movie was NC16. haha...好恶心啊!!!!!! but is a nice show to be able to know of such reali-life story that happened in the world around us though :)
tml is the start of my practicum! haha...abit sian and abit look forward oso. cant explain clearly wat's that feeling exactly :P hopefully all goes well and i will have a smooth-sailing 10weeks!

Will you be my Valentine + updates :)
i know Valentine's day has passed like a few days ago but cuz it falls on my last week of school, i just dun seem to have the time to blog. sorry rongrong! :( and now that i am in school waiting for my hall training to start (im supposed to be doing my eng assignment by the way:P) i shall reminisce the simple yet sweet little Valentine's day that i had on Monday :)
it was rather a special one because i started my V day going to the doctor for the 3rd time? haha...went back to a different doc from my previous 2, with one western and one traditional chinese, then the 3rd one was oso a TCM, the doc whom i went when i was younger. is for this bad cough that i had since end of december. and it had lasted until now even though in between i frequent the doc so many times and taken so many medicine and herbal tea, they just do not seem to help much though they did reduce the number of coughs i had over time. and this doc that i went, his medicine is helping i hope, at least i do not reali cough as frequently and violently as before. but gosh, i seriously think my abs are super firm now with all the coughing i had for so many months. i sincerely wish that someone can take away my cough so that i can be spared the misery of holding the cough through the 10weeks of practicum. and cuz to see the doc, i woke up at 830am that morning to wash up and went over to jurong west area where the medical hall is with my mum. after which bought breakfast back home to eat. still managed to sort out my Maths portfolio as i waited for my mum to bathe before my turn cuz we are heading for a movie! :) watched It's a Great Great World together with my mum in JP and i quite like the movie! though the times the movie was talking about i wasnt born yet, i still like how they managed to capture those times and filmed it out as a movie. haha...but the funny thing was my mum actually dozed off during the movie! haha...gave a nudge and she managed to stay awake for the rest of the movie. haha...and the nice little surprise for watching movie on a Valentine's day was they actually gave us heart-shaped pink sugar toppings donut! :) can reali feel the mood of love is in the air~
after movie we went on to walk around JP to look for bags. oh, forgot to mention, it was my mum's birthday, and she said she needed a bag so i went to shop around with her and shop for one. settled on one at Bega before she heads home and i head to school for my last lesson for science. and speaking of science, though it is one module which does not coordinate well among the tutors, like the mode of assessment and stuff, i am quite glad this 6weeks i got a rather nice korean tutor. at least the time spent during tutorials is meaningful and helps me to know how to complete my assignment at the end of it. my other friends from other tutorial groups kena tutors who either talks too much about their forte research areas or too much on the bragging of herself but none of the stuff was related to the assignment. and i think it gets especially irritating when this is the last week of school and everybody hopes to finish their school assignments before heading out to teach. hope everyone gets to move on to completing their assignments soon! :)
so after my lesson at 530, i head down to boon lay interchange to meet my rongrong!:))))) and i guess that is when the actual celebration of Valentine's day starts:P nth exaggerated but just a simple dinner at a restaurant somewhere near Commonwealth mrt station. rongrong never fails to give me surprises when he brings me to the restaurants that we have never been to before. it was a japanese restaurant where we had our dinner at and the restaurant's ambience feels like the irodori restaurant at river view hotel that we went before last time. so we had our buffet dinner there, enjoying the fresh sashimi and talking about all the things that happened to each of us. meeting up on weekdays with rongrong is not reali easy though he works in the west. cuz by the end of his day's work he is so tired by then. so i reali cherish the times when he either come to school to help train/watch me play my hall games and ended up goin home reali late. we talked about my hall stuff, the teams we had and will be playing against soon, my sch work, his work stuff. is always through this kind of sharing that holds 2person together rite? :) and after that was the exchange of gifts! and we tried to guess what each of us got for each other. needless to say, he can easily guess wat i get for him lor! -_-! not fair one! am i reali that squarish head? haha...but i cant guess what he had for me lor! hahaha...i got him a PS3 game, Winning Eleven 2011 game which he often went to weizheng's hse to play. he told me he wanted to borrow from him but he dun let, so thought can get one for him so that he can play at home too :) made him a simple card too but it was a bit flimsy cuz i actuali printed on construction paper. rongrong got me a shoe bag and a water bottle! :D he cant find a similar shoe bag, but got a similar one from nike, and the water bottle was from puma, his was yellow and mine was purple! :D he made a card for me too! nv fail to make me one for each occasion! and this one had a heart-shape formed by stars he folded :D :D :D heehee..so shy :P and then after that we had to head back home cuz the next day he is working and i have 830 class too. took a cab home, where i drop at my hse first before the uncle drove rongrong back to sengkang. and the cab uncle was nice too, cuz he had to drive his daughter back home which is near sengkang area, he agreed to drive us after rejecting a few others who flag for his cab before us. and he din on his meter until after 10minutes from the moment he starts driving :) and with that, ends our valentine's day celebration :)
today is the last day of my school. officially no more lessons in NIE liao. i will be out of NIE, all by myself now to face all the issues, students, senior teachers, school politics and parents maybe out there in the real world. i guess it just makes one nostalgic when you have to move on to the next phase of your life. after today, i no longer have anymore lectures or tutorials to attend. no more rushing for assignments for modules in NIE. and most importantly, i am no longer a student liao (and that is if i successfully completed my practicum and able to be posted out la *cross fingers). had my very last presentation today for my primary math module, i wonder is it because i am in year 4 already, giving presentation no longer gives me the jittery that i get when i was in year 1. or perhaps, standing in front of an audience to speak is just like how i will have 30 or 40 pairs of eyes staring at me when i teach. and today's presentation, not say i nv reali prepare, but it just come natural what i want to share with the class on our topic on Magic Square. at the end of the lesson, we managed to take group photos! :) din bring my camera along to sch cuz i thought can use my phone to take, but josie brought! so we cam-whored awhile and even took photos with our tutor Dr Koay :) learnt alot from her and i look forward to applying what i have learnt to my future classroom :)

oh ya, saw my ex-CT Mr Lau in the canteen just now when i had lunch with malinda. chat with him awhile and he said that i looked even thinner again. ytd fel and jiaqian said the same thing too. wonder if i reali slim down THAT much. cough cough please go away and stop tormenting me though i am happy that i looked slimmer. haha...
back to work before training starts. wanna complete my eng assignment before the end of this week so that i can reali rest before the start of next week. jiayou!!! :)

Wooooooooooooow! :D
and as of last night 8pm plus, HALL 6 gals team is INTO THE SEMI-FINALS!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D woooow, the match against hall 3 is reali a tough fight. we have some hiccups somewhere like a few players getting used to indoor courts since we are playing for the first time after having so many games outdoor? but even so, we proved it wrong for the yellowish who had probably under-estimated us. even after the final whistle had blown, i still cannot believe that we have won! the score of 2-1, is our first time playing so closely, each set was as close as can be and i was so scared that my team could not take the fact that we lost the first set, 22-25, and couldnt play well after that. but i was wrong, totally wrong. we proved to the yellowish that we are not to be trifled!!! and we were totally taking charge of the game from the 2nd set onwards. and the match had super super long rallies!!!!!! -_-! can die reali, cuz we were all moving, receiving, digging, setting and spiking non-stop! never had such an intensive game before and it feels like, reali, the finals that i watched my rongrong played when he was still in hall 6 that year. hahahaha...i think our match caught alot of attention from the people walking by, all was thinking that "wah, this year hall 6 can survive into the quarters ar?" And yes, we did!! and to tell those who dun give hall 6 a damn, let me just say that we are not satisfied as of semis, but we are aiming for the finals!!!!! next match up, against hall 2. it was deep down within me that i seriously want to meet them again after our first lost to them in the preliminaries. hall 6 gals have grown, not literally, but in terms of teamspirit and skills. and we are still growing together closely, which i am proud to say that not many halls can achieve that. that kind of happiness that all 13 of us shared when we know that we have won the game, it was just undescribable but only brings a smile to my face even in the morning when i just woke up :)))))
Let's jiayou hall 6! i'm sure we want it more than anyone else in this IHG and i am sure, we can all do it as long as our hearts stay united together! the sweat, the injuries they are all worth it!
