end of vacation liao! :(

haiz....really really really cannot imagine tml i am starting school proper liao! no more a trainee, no more CTs to help us as readily when we are in doubt, no excuse for mistakes simply because there is no one there to correct us as quickly as it should be corrected in the classroom and most importantly have to head a class to good results (if not maintain it) as a FORM TEACHER!!!! sigh~ seems quite a tedious start as a beginning teacher cuz we do not exactly what to expect. we have to accept everything that was given to us and start almost everything from scratch again. accepting anything means accepting any kind of timetable that we have!!!! T_T and i have to teach PE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh my god......this is one change that is too big for me to accept for the start actually. i mean i know that i won't be penalised for not knowing how to teach pe well but the thought of having to teach sth that i am actually not trained for is simply too hard to imagine lor. though i am an athlete myself i have no confidence of teaching ALL kind of sports when i myself do no know the rules for all of them. alamak......alot of complaints but i just hope that i can handle it well! :) im sure everything will get by! shall see it as a chance for me to wear sports attire everyday (except thursdays unless i have CCA that day T__T) well....i can foresee myself being seen as a pe teacher very soon......which was once my ambition to be one actually, but perhaps i was not as prepared that it came so soon :P will see how i cope over the next few weeks then! :)

just this week we had our staff retreat, thursday was to east coast park to build sandcastle that was as high as 4 feet tall! started all from a barren land but over that few hours all the teachers were amazed by the results we had! each smart-looking castle standing tall in front of us. this half a day session really inspired me alot. the fact that in any organization, should the foundation to anything started really badly, the aftermath will be terrible. and likewise, if everybody puts in 200% to every task that was given, whether or not we were asked to give up some of the assignments and tasked to take on another from somebody else, we will not be feeling super tough cuz all that was done was well done and not some sh** work. however, but even if what was given was simply s***, we still have to grit our teeth and work on it to make it better. well, that's life isnt it? haha...i do hope that i can be that graceful enough to give and take as easily as i can and work on to be a really good teacher whom the classes i teach can accept and whatever decisions made along this career, is always for the sake of the students and im sure i won't go wrong :) back to planning what i want to say to my form class tomorrow! heehee...got that bit of excitement which i can't seem to hold now..... :P

gifts given by my RO and the HODs during our staff retreat at NUSS Guild House :)

back from taiwan!!!! :)

and that is the end of my travelling spree in this short june holidays!!!!! had a great time in taiwan even though some of the places we visited were places that i had visited before in my previous visit to taiwan, but this time round i enjoyed myself as much if not more! :D think cuz i am alot closer with my uni friends and this time round it was a graduation trip for all of us so think we really let loose and had some great time together before we embark on our journey as a teacher! :) this time to taiwan although we only covered taipei, we went to places that i did not go before in my previous trip! for instance we went to Shida Night Market for shopping on the first night! it was a rather confusing night market cuz there was many turns here and there till we were very confused after we shopped from shop to shop! haha...and this josie shopping is real scary! buy quite alot of things until she got not enough money to last to the last day! haha...in the end lia and her had to go to the bank to change more taiwan currency :P oh ya, and we went to the MaoKong to take their cable car and drink some tea at some teahouse too! quite relaxing up there but the cable car ride up was quite scary! haha...cuz it was quite high and it too quite long to reach the peak too! haha...but ok la, at least no strong wind to blow our cable car till it shooked too violently like the other time i sat with rongrong to the higher peak of the ocean park! hahaha...chris was quite scared at times when the cable car shooked cuz she was scared of heights! haha...so quite funny when she screamed during the ride itself but after a while she's fine! and after that we went to wufenpu and raohe night markets to do more shopping! :) and the next interesting thing is the one day city tour! went to various places like the memorial halls to look at the majestic buildings and the exchange of duties of the soldiers! then also went to this place where we could have our fortune told. the three of us (excluding lia) got our fortune told abit and were asked to buy this thing called pi xiu which is a jade-like pendant that is suppose to help change our fortune for the better. but of cuz we didnt buy cuz it was too expensive! hahaha..cost about $176 for the smallest one leh! didn't want to spend such money so in the end we just say thanks and walked out to wait for the rest of the bus people to get their fortune told and purchase their pi xiu! :) after that we went to jiufen where we bought some local products and had our lunch there! had this chicken from this stall which taste really good! first time i eat the Ba Zan Ji (white chicken) with the skin lor! haha...too tasty to resist liao! :) it was abit rush at jiufen cuz it was quite a big area to shop and eat but we were only given less than an hour there. so in the end we had to quicken our steps and made prompt decisions to see if we want to purchase anything. that's the bad thing about going with tour cuz we had to stick close to the time frame given. after that we went to yehliu for some sightseeing. super hot weather to go there at that time but we didn't stay really long there as well. adfter that to some place to see if we want to buy lingzhi and lastly to the hotspring area at Beitou! my first time trying hot spring and i must say it was quite shiok to really sweat all out! haha... but it gets a little dizzy after some time cuz my blood must be sweating too much liao :P no wonder hear from ppl that we cannot stay in hot spring for too long. and considering the fact that i super good at sweating, i think i managed to shed off some calories in that few minutes! :) last stop for the day, shilin night market! my favourite smelly toufu from there too! heehee...this trip i managed to eat all the food that i wanted! SHIOK! :D the second last day in taiwan we went on to Danshui lao jie to do some more shopping and went on to the fisherman's wharf before we eventually break for the day with a K session at partyworld in ximending! haha...but think we were all too tired and in the end we didnt sing much also, just listen to the songs played on its own :P i even dozed off and nearly drooled! hahaha...the last day in taiwan we didn't get much stuff just walked around in ximending after our macdonald's breakfast. headed back to singapore taking the afternoon flight from cathay pacific! :) it was a really nice trip after all even though the majority of the time was spent on shopping! haha...but what to do, too many night markets in taiwan liao! cant help but venture into those welcoming arms of the night markets and feast and shop till we drop! :)))))) hope the 4 of us will have more trips together in the future! :)

all the best to all of us in our teaching career!!!!!! :)

i'm back from hongkong!!! :)

back from hongkong (hk) liao! went hk for the past 5days 4 nights with my rongrong! had an enjoyable time together visiting some of their places of interest like hongkong disneyland, ocean park, the peak, avenue of stars to watch the symphony of lights and to city gates, temple street and nu ren jie for shopping!!! wooooots! haha...had a nice time enjoying myself with rongrong, a trip completely just me and rongrong together was great! :)))) among the few places that we visited i think i enjoyed myself the most in disneyland! haha...cuz there were more cute disney characters where we could take photos with and the shows that we watched at the different timings in each of the theatres were much more fantastic! :) heehee, just abit weird to see and hear mickey and minnie mouse speaking cantonese!! hahaha...but there's chinense and english subtitles by the side where we could read off what they were talking about though, so still not too bad:) and we played some of the rides too! the most exciting one will be the space mountain roller coaster! hahaha...it was very dark during the ride but could still see abit of the tracks that it was moving! that was the most scary rides of all that we took though, the rest like the toystory ride was more like an adventure to shoot down the enemies using those laser guns provided! but it was equally fun! :) oh ya oh ya, there's this 3-D show that we watched in this theatre which required us to wear this glasses for the effects. and i tell you it was really fantastic! cuz as we watched this little adventure of donald duck, there were real effects on us audience too! like as we watched the donald duck being splashed water on the screen, we could feel water splashed on us too! hahaha...super fun!!!!!! hahahaha...think it really takes a lot of money to have such effects built for each of us to feel the same for each motion shown on the screen :))))) we spent a full day in disneyland, waiting for the fireworks at night! the parade square in front of the castle was already flooded with people at 7plus even though the fireworks only starts at 830pm! -_- but we could still find ourselves a place to sit on the ground to wait for the fireworks to start. one thing about hk that is not too pleasant is that they have too many filipinos! oh my god....and they can stand beside you totally pollute the air with their never-ending chats! T_T keep talking non-stop leh! and they were super kiasu in everything! nearly spoiled my rongrong's slippers cuz they actually stepped on it while rushing in to the theatre for one of the shows! Zzzz....there were soooooo many seats available lor, duno what's the point for the rush! but overall the trip to the disneyland was fun!!!!!! :))))))

we took a tram up to the peak! and that is the steepest tram i ever took cuz the peak was super high up the mountains!you could really feel that you are travelling 45degrees upslope can! really dunno how the people who built the track up how they tahan the steep path and managed to build such tracks and tram for the tourists! *applause* the trip to the peak was mainly to take the photos as the view there was really breath-taking! very high up the peak and it was super windy too! :) was really a good place to take photos! managed to get some of the tourists there to help me and rongrong take photo for us too :))))) and that day the weather was cloudy! could see the dark clouds hovering across the sky and covering those houses built high up in the peak. really feels like genting leh! abit admire those rich people to get to stay at such a scenic place up in the mountains, but having to drive down to work from the peak can be really tedious i guess! haha...so i am still happy with staying in a hdb flat in the normal city :P we took the hongkong trail round the peak too! was just a trail walk around that's about 3km? a bit tiring and hot and wanted to give up halfway through the walk actually, but in the end we tahan through and managed to walk the full trail! heehee...nv lau kui in front of those old aunties and uncles who went there for their usual morning walk! :P after that we went to the madame tussade - the wax museum for more photo-taking! the wax statues looked really real leh! not that i saw those celebrities real life before la, but the look and the features were captured almost real on these wax statues! :) and there is this ghost adventure that we went in this museum! actually nothing much oso, just that the sound effects, the lightings and those real people who acted as the 'ghost' were pretty much professional to give the overall scary effect. and rongrong lead the queue! hahaha...each time about 7 people went in, walking in a single file, hands on top of one another's shoulders. heehee...quite a good experience after all! :) after that we took the tram back down to the city area and headed to the city gates for shopping at the outlets stores! got quite a few brands like adidas, puma, giordano and espirit that was selling their goods at relatively cheaper prices compared to those selling in the shopping malls. but we couldnt see much stuff that attracted us there, only bought some tee-shirts from giordano! :) and there we saw rongrong's friend too! zihaur and his friend were there for holiday too! arranged to meet for dinner that night too, but was so coincidental to see them at the shopping mall too. after shopping we went back to our hotel to put down some stuff before we head to the avenue of lights to watch the symphony of lights! the effects were not that superb, but after all it was the effort put in by so many participating buildings to put up with the effects from the lasers from their buildings in harmony with the music so we did try to appreciate it though :P heehee, after that went back to our hotel area there to meet rongrong's friend for dinner at a seafood restaurant before we head to buy gong cha and back to our hotel to rest. :)

trip to the ocean park was good too! got to see the pandas staying in the comfortable air-conditioned enclosures! heehee...tried some of the exciting rides with rongrong too! hahaha...like the mine train that is a smaller version of those big scale roller coaster! but it was equally scary too!!!! hahaha...i dun really like the feeling of the heart sinking and roller coasters always have such bends that really make you vomit your heart out lor!!! hahaha...but it was fun really and definitely worth the try! :) played this raging river too! got abit wet after the zooming down from the steep slope with all the water splashing onto us! hahahaha...but it was really superb!and this rongrong still asked me to sit in front cuz he said most of the girls sat in front! haha...but ok la, sit in front or at the back will get equally wet:P didn't try all the rides there cuz of the time and some looked really scary and i don't think i have the heart for those. scared i turn green after all the turning and ended up puking! haha...so we gave a miss for those rides and headed to watch the show at the ocean park theatre! :) the dolphins and the seals were so cute leh! bet they were trained for very long already before this performance! responded very well to the cues given by their trainers! and throughout the show they never fail to remind us not to cause pollution to the seas such that the lives of the dolphins and sea creatures will not be affected. after the performance we went on to play the last ride for the day, the rapids! not too scary la, only abit of the turns here and there and some gentle slopes to make us "waaaaaa" for a while! hahaha...and after that we took the express train back to the lower level of the ocean park. oh ya oh ya! we took the cable car up to the summit level of the ocean park and the way up there via the cable car was quite scary too! cuz it was super super high!!!!!! hahaha...after the ride could feel my legs abit wobbly lor! heehee...and we managed to get a cable car just by ourselves! :)))) and then it was back at the ground level of the ocean park, watched one not-so-nice bird performance before we bid farewell to ocean park and return back to our hotel area for more shopping before we head back to singapore the next day! :( booooo! time always pass very quickly when we were having fun! wished to stay longer or travel to other places with rongrong the next time! looking forward to december holidays already!!!! :P couldnt do much on the last day cuz we had to check in for our flight by 9plus in the morning, so all the shopping for our colleagues and friends were done over the last night at temple street and nu ren jie! :) enjoyed myself alot in this trip though got nth much to shop for over the few days and didn't really buy much stuff either. but still, had a few virgin experiences playing those roller coasters and rides which i think were much more worthwhile than mere shopping! although rongrong and i were extremely tired after each day due to all the walking, we had fun spending this trip together!!! shall look forward to more trips abroad with my rongrong in the future!!!!!!!! :D :D :D photos all up on facebook! :)

next stop, Taiwan with my Uni friends!!!!! more updates to come! :)))))))))

time spent with you is ever so short cuz it is ever so enjoyable........ MUACKS! :D
