and that is the end of the farewell dinner for melvin, abit nostalgic to know that he is going to leave Synergy for good. he is the one who set up this team Synergy and i am lucky enough to join this team since the year he graduated frm NIE, which is like in year 2008? still rmb at that year the gals team started off with the guys team, because the gals were insufficient to form a team on our own, so that year only Synergy guys team. following that, around december period, the very first synergy gals team formed, mainly by friends of some of the guys, or friends of friends and they were ALL working adults already. we only participated in an invitational cup organized by aljunied hougang CSC that very year. i rmb was jessie, andre and jimmy in charge but dun reali rmb the club which they are in. still rmb that time i din know any of the gals inside the team well, and after the one day competition, all the ladies players like dissolve in thin air, all cannot commit to long term trainings for competition like the Opens, so the gals team had to start forming from scratch again. i started looking for players, with some of the players in the first synergy gals team staying on to play. and that is when i start to have younger players (around my age ones) joining the team. and slowly, synergy gals team was much more solid and we get better and stronger players in as well. but again, people come and go, in this span of very few years, there are quite a few players coming and leaving and returning back to synergy gals and guys team. and through all these thick and thin, melvin is always there to hold on to the stem of the team. is just like no matter how leaves wither from a plant, how flowers bloom and wither eventually and new buds grow, there is this stem that stands strong to hold everything in place to allow the growth of new leaves and flowers. and now that melvin is leaving the team, i somehow felt that the team may just loses its unity somehow and be segregated further after this year's Opens. especially now that our trainings will no longer be together, i wonder how the days to come will be and how long more will synergy team be able to survive until. whether is it work commitments or personal commitments, there are bound to be people leaving the team one day, and again new members will be joining. but somehow, as adults, i am hoping that once a decision has been made to stay committed to a team, i do want to see commitments, and somehow, people always fail in giving that. and issues will arise during the competitions. nontheless, melvin had tried his best to resolve any arising issues along the way and i am always thankful that he is there. for tonight's dinner, i cant help but feel that the attendance is rather disappointing. i dunno is it reali that necessary to spell out that is a farewell for melvin that's y we have this dinner, but im sure there's alot of excuses one can have to push away a gathering that someone actuali spent the time and effort to organize one for such a big group of people. be it work wise, other meet-ups with friends, maybe they dun see this gathering as important as one which i thought it was. or perhaps just like what melvin once told me before, not everyone in the team will feel for the team. and perhaps not everyone appreciate melvin as much as i do maybe? tonight's dinner you see people who seldom come down for training due to work commitment, but still make an effort to come for the dinner. is just a very simple effort to put in to make yourself available to attend but seems so difficult for some. not blaming anyone here, but just feeling a bit nostalgic la, just a bit. haha..must be age catching up, so becoming alot more sentimental liao. but whatever it is, tonight's dinner is the nicest dinner synergy ever had before because we had laughter and jokes around the table and i managed to get a card with the two team photos inside as a gift for melvin on behalf of the whole team. and all of us wish melvin all the best in his future endeavours and have as many children as possible to form a volleyball team!! :D a nice group photo to end it all :) will miss seeing you around during trainings, melvin...take care! :)

I'm Back!!! :D

yoooohoooo~~~~ im back from my Bintan trip liao! :D time pass reali fast when you are enjoying yourself! so fast 3 days were up and rongrong and i had to pack bag to go home liao. but overall is a wonderful time spent! :) though there's not much shopping to be done, cuz ALL the stuff are seriously overpriced, we spent some good time relaxing and walking around the resort itself! plus i thought the resort is reali fantastic leh! haha...cuz our room is spacious and there's this little corner which i love it very much! haha...but too bad there's no cushions on that corner, if not i will camp there more than i camp on bed! :P and the room has this super big window (with curtains of cuz) that you can see through outside and see the people at the pool playing! haha...rongrong and i had a great laugh at some of the children and adults playing the big balloon where they stay inside and roll around the pool (Oops!) hahaha...but i had fun taking photos is the room once we reached lor! haha...and we were lucky enough that the rain din reach Bintan with us on our first day, until at night when it rained reali heavily. so of cuz, we quickly head down to play at the beach!! haha...must say the beach there is very nice leh, though the waves look abit frightening and alot more stronger than the ones you see in Spore in Sentosa or East Coast!!! haha...but reali very nice scenery with the tides sweeping across the sand. and i love one of the photos we took there using timer mode! haha...think by the time we reach there already high tide liao, so not many ppl around oso, so had to depend on the camera timer! hee..first time see rongrong play at the beach like little boy like that! haha...play until the shorts oso wet:P heehee...but i had my fun too of cuz! took many pictures there and rongrong and i did jump shots too! :P very nice photos will all be up on fb! :D the tv in the room has many channels to watch too! and watched soccer with rongrong together at 3plus bintan time that night too :)))

for the second day, we woke up to a morning with dark clouds looming the sky! :((((( boooo! and i still thought we can have some suntanning seesion at the beach lor. in the end we din go to the beach on the 2nd day, just walk around the resort after our complimentary breakfast, then rest in our room before we book a taxi and head towards Pasar Oleh Oleh! eh, but the taxi fares abit pricey, $22 a cab for a trip that lasted for less than half an hour? haha..but ok lar, at least the driver who drives us there got intro a good restaurant where we can eat our dinner at. Pasar Oleh Oleh is abit like a small village with some small shops around, but mostly selling the same things. beach wears, handicrafts, bags, and polo shirts there seems to be the most common thing you can see ppl selling. i think cuz of the brand, it doesnt seem reali discounted to me even though it is 50% off! haha...those that were reali cheap were the older designs and those newer ones were not that cheap after all. but if u are after brands and dun mind spending 30plus bucks for a polo t-shirt, then buying those shd be a good bargain ba:) and after that we walked to a restaurant that is about a few hundreds metres away, to have a seafood dinner! dinner there was very nice! :) at least we had the whole restaurant to ourselves for at least half an hour cuz like not many ppl patronize the restaurant there. maybe not many tourists know abt that restaurant, and we wouldnt know if the uncle din intro to us. we get to see them pick out the seafood like fish, crab, prawns are all live, and you can choose which one you want and they will pick it out for you and proceed to cook it behind in the kitchen. we were seated at the restaurant in the 2nd level, and there were nobody when we reached! haha...think they just renovated the place, and the 2nd level looks much more nicer and renovated than the 1st level where you pick the seafood. plus the 2nd level is air-conditioned too! haha...and the food when cooked is transported upwards by a lift that carries food! haha...abit too noisy when the lift is in operations:P and the lady who served us food walks around very quietly! like 幽灵 like that :P wahahahaha..but the food there is nice! reali quite nice! we ate steamed fish, butter fried crab, hotplate beancurd with seafood and kangkong with belacan! hahaha...thinking of them makes me salivate sia, but the only not so good thing is the kangkong is abit too spicy liao. then my poor rongrong still coughing oso cannot eat much. so in the end i eat and my stomach feels reali hot! in the end back in resort i LS-ed twice. hahaha...but ok lar, other than that the food there is worth the 60 over bucks spent! :) then we had to get them to get a cab for us back to our resort again. the road back was quite scary cuz by then it was dark already and there were no roadlights along the streets! very scary!! haha..but at least the cab was big and spacious, is a fortuner that can sit up to 7 passengers! haha...abit useless when we only have two of us, but is quite good for big families travelling around :) back in the resort i showed the scrapbook i did for rongrong for our one year anniversary! heehee...the plan din turn out as planned cuz there's no wifi so i cannot play the slides that i prepared. in the end rongrong only read the hardcopy version while i play the song on my itouch (the song i used for my slides:P) after that we played with sparklers!! heehee..i brought from spore! :D but we din go down to the beach to play cuz it was drizzling at night, and shd be quite dark along the beach and abit dangerous oso even though is inside the resort. so we played at the balcony! hahaha...in the end had alot of smoke coming out and enter our room too! @__@ hahaha...but it was fun though, keep laughing at rongrong then in the end the smoke went into my throat! yucks! nearly died! hahaha...and after that was bathing time and we settled ourselves in bed before we retire for the night. and i concussed shortly after and failed to wake up to watch soccer with rongrong! :P

the last day in bintan!! time reali flies. and we woke up today slightly later, 10am spore time but actuali only 9am in bintan! :P a difference of an hour. it was quite sunny in the morning so we head to the beach for a breeze after breakfast before we head back to our room and pack our stuff to check out liao. and not long after we checked out and waiting for the shuttle bus at the lounge area, dark clouds just loom over and started raining! dun like the monsoon season, cuz it can reali destroy all the fun you plan outdoors when the rain suddenly hit. and the ferry trip back spore was horrendous! hahaha...cuz the ferry was shaking so badly like we sitting some roller-coaster ride can! @_@ i dun like the feeling of your heart sinking!! so i was so scared i literally dig my head beside rongrong and pull his shirt and pants very tightly! T__T so scary lor, but still, it was a nice trip after all though the ending din end reali well!:P haha...but if is possible i dun mind goin back to the same resort again to stay, hopefully next time when back we can spend a longer time playing at the beach with no rain at all! :D

i love this Bintan trip! had quality time spent with my rongrong although come to think of it we din reali explore alot of places there. but somehow the time spent just seems to be very fulfilling and memorable :)




looking forward to more overseas trips with rongrong! :)))))))))))))))))))))))

Merry christmas to all!!!!! hope you had a wonderful one because i had mine! :D time out with rongrong is always the sweetest, but seemingly shorter! :( hahaha...on Xmas eve rongrong brought me out to meet up with his group of buddies to have dinner and chill out at novena velocity! :) it was fun listening to all of them talk though some of the topic i dun reali know what is it about but is a nice gathering after all :) And Xmas today rongrong brought me to a restaurant that i have never been there before!! haha...exploring new places with rongrong is always the best! when you see him look around for road signs, checking his phone every now and then...haha...but i quite like the place cuz it is not too crowded!! public holidays usually will result in shopping malls reali crowded and packed with lots of ppl, so a quiet dinner somewhere is always the best!:D photos speak a thousand words, so here it goes! :D

yeah!!! the long and torturous few weeks of december is never as long as this time round cuz of the yog, the semester and the exams stretched all the way to december! haha...but one good thing is i got quite alot of time to prepare for 1 and only 1 paper. and think is reali too long actualiy T_T maybe is oso the module or the tutor, i dun "feel" for this module at all. not that i dun like the topic, cuz the concepts are reali easy, but the thing that is difficult about the module is the variablity in answering the types of proving questions. but like wat rongrong say, maybe is the concepts not very clear, but i reali surrender cuz i totally have no idea how to work on it. and dunno y, maybe is the year 4 syndrome, nv thought of one to one consultation with my tutor liao. last few yrs i still do, but not this few semesters :P but seriously, even if i did consult, i dun think is goin to help alot, cuz i always know how to do those questions only after the tutor explained and my understanding ends there and when new questions come, is the same type of problem again :P so eric!!!!! who say graph theory is easy one!!! haha...but well, is over liao. and that marks the end of my study of math in NIE. today over lunch with lia and chris after the exam paper, lia was saying those qns that we learn in secondary sch n jc till now if we try to solve it, given time probably we can still solve it. but if we were asked qns on modules that we learnt over these 4 yrs, i can be quite sure most of the qns we cannot answer!! haha...my explanation for her was cuz we learn those concepts only for a semester, finish exam liao then throw everything away, unless the next sem is a module that follow up or continue, if not those concepts will just fade away rather quickly! haha...so actually, after 4 yrs, ask me what i have learnt for math, erm.........hahahahha :))))

so is time to enjoy the short but valuable holidays!!!!! if only the holiday can be reali long, cuz i reali wan a well-deserved break before i go for my practicum II. is goin to be reali tedious and tiring and i reali dun look forward at all :( but that aside, holidays this december is goin to be fun!! :) just went to have lunch with lia and chris this afternoon at IMM fish&co before we shop around, slack around and then head home! :) after that meet my rongrong for a movie (which i dunno we are watching) "Tron Legacy"!!!!!!! SEEEEEEEEE...i remember the movie title!!:P cuz this rongrong very evil, always will TEST me what the movie is about, what are the names of the characters etc T_T i very poor thing rite!! haha...cannot just ENJOY~~~~ and forget everything after that! hahahahahahahaha :P :P heehee...den after that rongrong brought me to eat at pioneer wharf to eat crab!!! yum yum!! :) but think the alaskan crab at kushinbo is still the best! :P

Next up in December:
1) Bintan trip with rongrong 27th-29th! :)))))))))))))))))))))))))) reali look forward to the trip leh!!! our second trip out together after the pulau ubin trip! :D haven reali decide what to do over there, but im sure im goin to enjoy myself to the max! :D

2) Synergy gathering on 30th! is having mixed feelings to attend the gathering, cuz is goin to be a dinner together with melvin officially announcing himself stepping down from the post of synergy manager. and im quite disappointed that the response is still not reali good even after changing dates. not blaming anyone here though, all have their commitments and other holiday plans, but i thought at least those who are still in town can make it for the dinner somehow. is reali gonna be the very last few times we can reali see melvin cuz after that if he is no longer in charge, he will have his other commitments and wun be coming down for training anymore. maybe to the rest they dun feel as much, but i thought melvin reali did alot for the team, not to mention other stuff, the fact that these few yrs of games, all the fees for the gals team are paid by him, im reali grateful enough. those who are not staying in the team anymore i seriously care less if they are going for the gathering or not, but the rest, if possible, just try to make it. but again, if not possible, then is alright though. :)

3) gatherings and hangouts with my girlfriends! haha...lazy to list out one by one, but im reali looking forward to meeting and catching up with my girlfriends too! :D

4) a very special occasion is coming!!!! hahaha...not having any plans yet, but im reali looking forward to it :))))))))))))))))))))))))))

finally got this super dun like module over, just had to finish up the report and hand it in and is reali reali over liao. i like science, but i reali think this module shd have a coordinator who is more firm and every tutorial class do everything as supposed to be and no one tutor who will try to slack and do the things her own way as and when she like. this only makes other tutorial groups to feel the unjust. i learn from this module of cuz, different approaches to help students learn in ways they like, developing their talents in the many different strategies that the teacher may deploy. but i still think the tutors can do alot more better than this.

today's presentation wun say is a reali smooth one cuz i seriously like fighting war like that =_= maybe is the last group to present or maybe our lessons are so thought provoking such that many of my classmates ask alot of questions!!! Zzzz...i shd put a pat on my shoulder because i thought i answered them quite well, even though in a real classroom context the actual lesson may not work out or even be too abstract for students to understand but i think, and i seriously feel that the lessons lia and i decided upon is not too bad to teach the digestive system. being a simple topic but to teach how each organ in the system functions is difficult. Thus, abstract as it is, i think the experiments are doable. but of cuz, it is real work when you had to use words to describe the activities out to make sure the tutor understands. and after the presentation, i am so tired lor. and my fren can tell im tired! haha...amazing. i din know i look so tired, but very soon is over, reali very soon :)

end of long weekend! :(

eeeee....dun like the feeling of having to go back to sch again!!! argh!!!! think i reali look forward to each weekend coming that i just dun like to accept the reality that weekend is over AGAIN!!! hahaha...damn sian to go back sch, do work, take tests, do assignments and stuff and this sem is reali suffocating. but alot of assignments cleared already though, is already the month of november liao anyway, so is working towards exams and is the end of one sem again!!! woootsss!! cant wait cant wait reali...but that would mean my 2nd practicum is coming again!! HAIIIIIIIIII~~~ another period of lesson plans lesson plans lesson plans!!! die lar, im reali complaining when i have not even start teaching liao leh! cant imagine how i will become when i am a full-time teacher-_-! haha...but this weekend was spent rather happily!!! though wanna slack but in the end almost everyday will still touch up my assignment, until just i finally sent to the safe assignment and had it printed. but still cant reali slack cuz i nid to do my graph theory tutorial which i wan to hand it up by tml!!! could have started doin past few days but cuz the blackboard was down T_T

went out with rongrong on friday to watch Megamind!!! haha...i actually dozed off abit during the movie itself :P hahaha...not that the movie is not nice lar, but think im just too comfortable in the air conditioned theatre and hugging rongrong's arm cwas too cosy that i fell aslp :P went out with rongrong and his best buddies the weis ytd to TopOne before we head to Empire State at Iluma to eat our dinner:) think i suuuuuuuupeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrr long nv sing K liao leh, cuz i literally sing until NO VOICE T__T and i din reali sing alot can, think one hand can count finish the songs that i sang but i still can sing until no voice!!! wat the hell...dunno wat's with my voice that day sia! haha...abit paiseh sing halfway den no voice come out! hahaha...but it was fun talking with rongrong and the weis over dinner :) esp when we were super entertained by the waitress who served us ice water that was only one-fifth filled with water in our cups!!!! hahahahahaha...is super funny and we all look very shocked when she place those cups infront of us can! haha...and they still keep looking at her ma chiam discussing wan take her phone number like that! hahaha..buay tahan them lor! and my rongrong was the cheeky one as usual lor! we shared the biggest burger that the restaurant is famous for but i could only help finish a quarter of the burger with rongrong eating half and weihong taking the last quarter :P but the plate of fries were still not finished and we surrendered it in the end :D

yeah!!! and the long awaited long weekend is here! :D heehee...shd be considered particularly long for me since i dun have to go sch anymore on mondays:D wahahaha...but coming monday stil have to go back to submit assignment and do a pairwork lab report with lia :) actuali got lots n lots of time to complete before the submission, but might as well get it over and done with as soon as possible rite? had dinner with lia chris n josie aft our 630pm lesson just now and we ate at ntu sakae! haha..since tml no sch chris n josie dun mind staying in the west side until so late too:X was a rather chop chop dinner cuz lia had to rush for her piano lesson at 8pm:) but still, ate our fill and had some time to relax and enjoy the food! :) and this weekend i do not intend to do much stuff but SLACK! hahaha...goin to chiong finish my eng assignment due monday tonight!

eeeeeeeyer.....is sunday again, soon another week gonna start. is goin to be a short week cuz of deepavali, but no special event coming up this week, so nth much to look forward to the end of the week oso. but this weekend i was quite slack think cuz just finished a 50% assignment and my microteaching for the same module, decided to catch a breather and relax abit.

the whole of saturday was out. went to ccab early in the morning, reach ard 10am to warm up and get ready for the interministry games which take place annually. last yr was at Spans, my very first time playing with the teachers. this year my 2nd time playing, and the games were held at ccab. preferred ccab to spans cuz of its spaciousness and dun feel so cramped up while playing:) i think we improved alot over the year as a team. compared to last year, i think we only managed to play 3 or 4 games before we were knocked out by our opponents. this year, we played a total about 5 or 6 games and even though in our 2nd game against the police team we lost, we managed to survive quite long in the loser pool and finally met up with moe team 2. our common goal in the team this year is of cuz to win them but i guess all of us, including me, wanted too badly to win and din manage to play as well as when we were playing against other teams. think the senior teachers pinned quite high hopes on me to score and i just din do as well as i shd and i too felt apologetic too. sometimes i just wonder in volleyball which area im good at. say spiking, i think my spikes cannot even kill a cockcroach if it was on the other side of the court waiting for me to spike over. say defending, i think i can "slow three claps" if a ball was suddenly dropped infront of me. say setting, i just learnt proper way of setting not long ago so, what do u think? say service, i think that is my worst skill of all because i think i cant even toss the ball properly when i serve. hahahaha...but i seem to play in ALL the positions you can find in volleyball before except for libero. so actuali is quite suitable to use the phrase "jack of all trades but master of none" on me huh? haha..is just so contradicting sometimes and im glad the moe team im in, is a team made up of very very nice and wonderful teachers who show me undying support for me to play and win the game for them and i seriously appreciate them from the bottom of my heart. not that i am thaaaaat good to score many points for them, but they are forever there to cheer me on and say jiayou :) and yes, they prepared lunch for the whole team ytd for fear that we dun have enough energy to play for so many sets! reali love them to the max. and these teachers are so nice and yet some ppl out there just dun appreciate them but choose to in an indirect way, "bully" them on court. and i swear that as much as i can improve myself, our aim to win the team that we wanna win shall be the strongest drive for me to work towards each year in the interministry game :)

went out to eat and watch movie "Legend of the Guardians" with rongrong at bishan junction 8 after the interministry games ytd. had brunch at swenson before this rongrong say wan to bring me to "watch birds" -_-! and i thought literally watching birds at some open area land or something and it was actually to watch movie! haha...the movie was very very nice with superb graphics and is my first time watching movie with animated birds and only birds! owls in particular. but is not boring reali, cuz the plot was good and the graphics were very nice and real. i've nth to complain about the show but the cinema was super duper freaking cold -_-!!!! i was literally shivering towards 3/4 of the show lor!!! dun understand why they wan to on their air con until it was so cold. wat's the point of making ppl shiver or go toilet in the midst of the show leh? but i din visit the loo lar, just that i was reali very cold throughout the movie and made me quite hungry at the end of the show. think i used up too much energy keeping warm inside the cinema liao :P after that went to rongrong's hse to play with his nephew!:) grew much more bigger than the time i last saw him. is always very nice to see how a small little life starts to grow and become more and more independent as an adult. reali wonder how it feels to be a parent myself to see my child growing up each day and getting education and eventually get married. think all parents would wan to give their children the best that they can and as much as they can too. parents are just so noble! :)

10th month anniversary for rongrong and i today but we din meet up:( cuz he brought home his work to complete as much as possible as he will be on course the coming week. but nvm, there's always the next month's anniversary anyway and im always looking forward to each month's annversary whether or not we celebrate:)

Nike Run :)

went for the nike run today behind marina square, the road in front of Singapore flyer :) was my first time joining nike race! the first race i took part with rongrong is the (i forgot wat run was that) run at pasir ris park there one, and today is the 2nd one we took! but the previous one we din reali run much cuz the road was alot more narrow and there's alot of ppl which makes running more difficult! today's run was so much better cuz we were running on the wide roads! and i must say i am soooooooooooooooooooo proud of myself and rongrong cuz we RAN throughout the whole 10km leh! i have never ran such a long distance non-stop at all can! haha..so it is reali a very great sense of achievement! :D but my legs dun feel like mine at the end of the race la, and oso jiao luan abit oso! hahaha...but i think it was a very good experience leh! and i love my rongrong!! :D cuz he could have ran much faster but he slowed down to keep up with my speed :D :D we were running side by side throughout the race! heehee...the whole road was filled with many many people wearing the bright green shirt lo! must say is a reali rare sight to see so many ppl wearing the same shirt and jogging on the roads :) bet those ppl in their cars or public buses wished they could come down and join us too :) but abit disappointing with the goodie bags and the finisher item cuz it is of zero practicality lor. oso dunno y they choose to give away figurines instead of some practical items like towels or bottles? think it would be cheaper oso to give away those practical stuff compared to those figurines leh. but nevertheless, is the experience that i thought was super worthwhile! :) and had a little catch up with szehui hongseng xiuyi manying and youyi after the race itself too! :))) shall look forward to our next meet-up again! :)

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~~ I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!!! hahaha...i thought it was super fast that the test was over and surprisingly i din do all of the circuit components that i had trained for. and i was not tested for my U-turn!!! hahaha...shd be super happy about all these that i din get to be tested but somehow cuz i reali practised like umpteen times all these components it just feel weird that the tester din test me :P but i must say he is very nice! cuz he still joke with me on the road, taught me to be more confident and dare to speed up when the road is clear. and to top it off, he bluffed me when he came in to tell me about my results!!!! -_-
! Zzzz...cuz he started with saying im not confident enough yet, must have more practice and stuff and ask me to come back to bbdc to drive more!!! haha...i was like O_O! den he signed and pass me the paper where i saw the big PASSED word!!! wahahahaha...i was super relieved can! intially still keep comforting myself if fail nvm can try again. then when i reached bbdc and went into the room to wait for my turn to be called (apparently im the last one left in the room), there was a lady before me who asked me "Can wear slippers meh? Cannot leh. You first time ar?" (den give me a nod as if nvm la, first time fail nvm that kind of nod) and i was like -_-! my instructor nv mention anything to me about footwear before lor, and i have been driving wearing slippers most of the time. but again, im not a motorist wat, so why cannot wear slippers? :P haha...

end of Opens 2010 for synergy gals team :)

finally the end of the Opens tournament for synergy gals team 2010. i thought we did put up a good fight against TNT. no worries, no fear, just happiness playing the very last game together. it has always been my fear to reach the last game of the season because i seriously dunno how the team will become after these games. i know some are leaving, and i am in no position to hold anyone back to play in this team. whether is it they have other commitments or they wan to go to another team, i will just let them go and wish them all the best. like for gracie's incident last yr, she did left the team since she dun feel happy with us anymore, and i wished her all the best. we are all adults and able to make decisions for ourselves which we deemed it as "good for us". shd we meet again as opponents in future matches, we are still friends after all. volleyball is the thing that holds us all together whether or not we are in the same team. and this applies to u too, cheryl, if u happen to read this post :) over this month of games, there are times where i agreed or stayed neutral with whatever decision jimmy had made. not that i just choose to keep quiet, but i did voice out and he is able to convince me at that point of time the rationale behind the decision he made. i did my part to let him know about all u gals' unhappiness issues with his choice of players but i oso have to agree with him that it is not u gals are lousy that he choose not to put u all down, but is just that the sisters are stronger. the fact that u gals felt so lousy is cuz u all misinterpreted his words and choose to put urself down at the extreme lousy end. which is in fact reali not necessary. not that i dun understand u gals, but as a captain, i just have to stay neutral and let him decide since he is coach that we all agreed initially before the games. whether we agree or not, i think we still have to credit jimmy for bringing us to at least the 2nd round of the games. i know i have been saying this but im goin to say again, that is, i will try to ask ard for another coach, but there's no promise cuz nth is definite as yet.

many of the times they are just perspectives that we choose to take. to make us feel better or to make us feel worse. we decide how we will feel don't we? :)

just some thoughts which i dun have the chance to say f2f cuz i always dunno how to arrange my thoughts out when i talk, nothing personal but i just hope my players are happy :)

my next hope is that the guys team can go on further into the next round of games by winning the game against tanjong pagar csc tml night. wun be able to go down to watch cuz of my lessons which end at 730-_-! but my spirit will be there to support them through the whole game!! jiayou guys!! :D

coming to an end of Opens 2010

we lost. it doesnt seems abnormal to lose last yr. cuz we practically lost all the games last year. if i din rmb wrongly, we din even secure a set against our opponents last year. this year, our first round against 4 teams, we lost to International Khakis and Aljunied Hougang, but won United Force and Tanjong Pagar CSC. it seems that losing and winning is on a balance this year. and we are, at least i am very very happy that we got into the next round. cuz it was an aim that i set before the start of this year's Opens. i think our team had improved, whether is it individually (and i mean every single one) or as a team. but the only thing we lack quite alot is the team spirit that we used to have last year. whether directly or indirectly, i think it just got to do with the number of trainings everyone reali make an effort to come down. somehow is just difficult to get some of them to come down as regularly throughout the year whether is it due to work commitments or other reasons. but i reali do hope that it wun happen again for next year. is it possible? i dunno.

i cried after the game today. initially i thought i could hold it but my tears seemed to take control of me instead while i talked about wat we did today during debrief. my tears were not cuz we lost, not cuz we cannot go to the next round since my aim was achieved liao wat. but cuz, i played until very tired today. and the tiredness dun come from the playing, but it came from the shouting. i dunno whether shouting ace ever works to build team spirit, but in some games over my years of playing vb i see it worked very well. and today for no reason the curtains were not drawn to segregate our game from the other court. and it was very obvious that my team reali got affected. i was shouting until i nearly puke seriously. but my shouts were not responded when i could literally shout in front of them and i see some of them just choose to shut up. i know everyone is tired, i know shouting is not directly proportional to skills, shouting is not directly proportional to what result we would get. but i made the effort to do it as the captain of the team but today just not the day for synergy gals team i guess. i dun feel the support frm my team mates. i felt that we are all playing for ourselves, by ourselves. to think that the 3rd set we can lead by 7-9 points in one instance, until the score of 21-14? the opponents just chase their way up and eventually take down the last set. we lost. everything seems to happen very fast. from the blow of the whistle to start the game till the final whistle blow. from we were thrashed terribly in the first set to as close as 23-25 in the 2nd set to 22-25 in the third set. we just seem to lose points in batches, so fast till the turnover rate was too slow to replace the points we lost.

and my service sucks today. i send 2 balls into the net. and i thought it was damn sucky. y, cuz standing opp our team is a team led by my ex coach. and subconsciously i was disturbed by his presence. my mental strength was reali at its pit today. like how i was during jc. i dunno y. my arms just dun swing the right way to serve properly when i was stressed. and i thought i improved over the year, and obviously, i din. i lost the crucial point at the last set when we were at a score of 22 by sending the ball into the net. perhaps my tears was oso part of that reason. i wanted too badly to win? i wanted too badly to show my ex coach i have improved and could win his team? i oso dunno the reason. but i just got so emotional after the game. i din blame anyone definitely. i never did in vb. cuz i know very well there were days where the ball sense is just not there and every hit just seems wrong. i shd tell myself that i shd be satisfied with the results we had. and tml our last match against TNT, shall be a nice match to round up our games for this year.

both synergy gals and guys team are into the next round for the Opens tournament!!!!!! i think is reali a great achievement considering our gals team lost all the matches last yr, the guys team could not proceed to the next round due to some calculation of scores between teams. for the gals team, i think all of us improved alot compared to last yr. although probably this year we r not as bonded as last yr, segregated cliques among us, but i see most of us who were in the team last yr n this year had improved. whether or not we have contributed alot to the winning of games in this first round of matches, i think the spirit to support one another is reali important. as least to me i think i treasure the support given by all my mates. today's match against International Khakis, we only have 8 players down today. and i must say we did put up a good fight though we lost to them with a score of 3-1 and i think all of us did well. heehee...and i did a few spikes that score points! haha...only that pathetic few spikes that i scored points, but im quite proud of my defence and receiving so far in all the games we played! haha...but i got pretty bad orh cheh on my knees with all the falls that i had during the games:( now walk time oso can feel my orh cheh, power rite :P but im glad we did improve with each game and i do hope that we can go as far as possible in this year's Opens. whether or not the team is intact will come after all the games for this year :) next round our opponents should be TNT and SP! im hopeful for the game against SP. hopefully miracle can happen again this time :)

guys match with the police team 2 today! hmmm, think alot of them lost form today, even though the opponent is rather strong, im sure our guys team can do alot better compared to what they did today. my rongrong did well too! blocked quite a few spikes from the opponent! :D but saw him had an abrasion on his knee as well:( next round they are against NTU and Tanjong Pagar. hopefully they are able to take down one match and proceed to the next match! play as fierce as they were when they played with police team 1! :D

another week coming to end

i think time reali zoomed cuz from the start of monday, time started to fly past super quickly and before i realised, is already friday again! hai...alot of things on my mind over the week, especially after the two matches last weekend. so much so that i din reali have the mind to study for test, do my work. so yar, not expecting my graph theory test that was just over this wed to get good results though :(

mainly the things bothering my mind are the issues in the vb team apart from my driving and lots n lots of assignments. is just so difficult to spell things out explicitly when two persons see things just so differently. there are bound to have issues in any group, any organisation, any team any clique any family. but it reali takes a while for one to understand from a person's point of view and i must say is not easy. especially when both r not in the wrong in one way or another. alot to do with expectations im sure, but who am i to ask anyone not to expect anything esp when u had put in hard work for it? nothing is fair in the world, and is just very true when u feel indignant for not being appreciated by all the effort u put in. i have to admit i foresee all these coming, but what else can i say but let it happened in the end? i dun have much say in alot of things even given my position. i oso din wan such a segregation to happen in the team.

and i din see this problem happening at all last year. but y this year?

first match

had our first match today at jurong west sports complex, against the opponent whom we met last yr at Opens as well, aljunied-hougang csc. i must say we have improved, or maybe the opponents have aged, cuz most of them has become mothers with families down today to support them. i thought we could have done better, at least to win one set down instead of a flat 3-0 score. they are just not strong at all, not as though their spikes are so difficult to receive or defend. in a way, they were rather disrupted in our attacks towards them as well. but we just din win. and to top it off, i thought i could have done better as a captain to voice out during the beginning of each set regarding the choice of players. but i thought the choice of the players could prove me wrong in the second set, only to realise that it wasnt the case. and we could only fight back a few points after some substitution, which was too late i guess. i rmb the second set, there was one ball i dived for it cuz it flew some distance away from the court. but we somehow din score the point, which i forgot why, and after that we lost that set, i nearly burst out crying. i oso dunno y but i just felt i was super disappointed and all ready to explode leh. but i din. and the decision to finally change me as the setter and changing other players in to play makes me so much better. that was when i felt the assurance coming in and all my strength coming back. but it is just not easy to bring it across to someone who dun see it from your point of view in the choice of players. i seriously dun wan history to repeat and we end up losing all the matches which we should win.

tired.

on a brighter note, the guys team won after a tough fight of 5 sets. that moment i was reali very happy. think cuz i saw how the guys team rise and grow and improve over the years of hard work. with players come and go and back again. i wish the gals team could be like them, i reali wish. will wake up full of hope again tml morning. :)

is the end of the weekend again!!! haiyo...y is it that weekends come n go so quickly? i haven reali rested and is the start of new week liao T____T booooo!! alot of assignments alot of work to do leh, but time just seem so short. and the coming weekend is the start of Opens liao!! hopefully the guys and gals team can brave through all the competitions well and get some results! i start to feel the stress level increasing subconsciously liao leh, whether is it academic wise or on vb side. Zzzz..............

back to my tutorials..... :(

back home for a break :)

im home for my long 5hrs break! haha...but apparently the 5hrs felt shorter when u travel out from sch. went for my dental check up just now on the way home. cuz been having gum pain during the past few days and it actually cause me to have headaches. but then the dentist could not reali tell what happened, only told me that it was abit swollen and hope that it was not the wisdom tooth that is probably coming out that causes the discomfort. but again, i do hope is due to heatiness and not cuz of wisdom tooth and hope it gets better in the next few days :( if not it is going to affect me during my vb sessions when the discomfort or headache is constantly there. back home to complete abit of the assignments so that i can relax abit during the weekends! :D cant wait for weekends to come seriously.......

happy mid autumn festival to all! :)

is the time to play lantern and candles and sparkles to relive the young in all hearts time again! haha...mid autumn festival today, but it has to be a raining afternoon and gloomy-looking sky in the evening. rain was super big in the afternoon and the rain finally ceased only like just? haha...but im glad cuz at least those children who are goin out to play with their lanterns or candles can go out and play and those elderly who are going to enjoy the night with their mooncake and tea can watch the beautiful moon high up in the sky without having to hold their umbrellas :D as for me, im staying at home to complete my assignments! haha...abit sad rite, but ok lar, can stay at home to complete my work while listening to the ge tai opp my hse blasting their music to celebrate the festival :) next year then i play lantern and candles with my rongrong! :))))))

is the time for all to get together with your love ones and spend the night eating mooncake together! 中秋节快乐! :D :D :D

Opens fixtures out :)

the draw was on last thursday, following that the fixures were out too. had to say that our lots werent too bad, at least we din meet like the NUS red team or TNT, but we met the aljunied-hougang, united force, tanjong pagar and international khakis. among these few teams, we played with three of them before, win them during friendlies or we had very close fights with them last yr during the opens. the matches are starting in 2nd Oct! for us gals team will be 2nd, 3rd,9th and 10th!:) all to be played at the jurong sports hall. hopefully reali can proceed to the next round, or rather, at least we WIN one or two games! i reali dun wan history to repeat, like how hard we fought last yr but in the end still din win any of the games:( guys team had 3 teams to against cuz they were all in the group of 4teams. i hope they can win this year too! cuz they reali improved alot over the years!plus my rongrong playing!! sure can win one! :D haha...im so optimistic rite :P not to mention how the gals team will become again after the Opens, but im reali hopefully this yr that we can do well! jiayou to both the synergy gals and guys team! :D

updates :)

the start of a fresh new semester again, back to the take 240-then 199/179-reach sch go tutorial/lecture-then go home that kind of cycle again. it feels good to be a student definitely, and i like the life as a student especially after my practicum, it just feels the same old kind of feeling is back. haha...is another fresh new start of a semester and i am reali goin to set my heart to work real hard this sem once again (not that i dun work hard in the previous few semesters of cuz) but reali doubly hard cuz i hope that i can at least try to pull back my gpa. always full of energy and determination to get good grades, hopefully i wont get the deflated-balloon effect again! :) my timetable was mostly late lessons, until my core math tutor had to change one of our lecture time slot to a thursday morning at 930am -_-! im fine with morning classes, just that after this lesson i have a 5hrs break to my next lesson at 330pm! T________T hai...been grumbling lar, but again is no use oso but to accept it lor. most probably i will go home n nap a while before i go back sch again, if not by night vb training i will be like brain-dead-cum-keep-yawning mode :P a short week this week, due to hari raya so fri is a public holiday! :) shiok leh, cant wait for deepavali to come soon cuz is another fri off again! haha...but it is in nov...................

thurs training at cch, there's 7gals down for training. i think now as long i have a full team of gals down im contented liao lor. but again, attendance will affect how our team train tgt as well. so hopefully as the competition draws near, the gals will come down much more often liao. results dont just drop from the sky anyway... thurs training we get to train on our formation. but think cuz i haven reali recover fully from my cough, i actually felt faint halfway through the training and had to ask for huiling to sub me. see stars leh, and i hyper-ventilated lor. oso dunno y, but i feel bad to sit there and watch when my gals r training hard. hopefully i will recover very very soon, no more phelgm down my throat! :D so in the end i oso decided to rest and not go down to ccab for the MOE game on friday. and rongrong brought me to eat buffet instead! haha...wanted to eat last weekend but end up we went to the ben & jerry event so went to eat kushinbo at jp before we head home n rongrong teach me physics! :)

this weekend was spent slightly more differently. i went with rongrong to his company's dinner and dance ytd night! hee...first time attending such an event, it was quite a nice experience considering the fact that i dunno anyone there! haha...but at least we sat with rongrong's colleagues and their partners, so at least dont have the u stare-at-me-i-stare-at-u that kind of awkward silence. haha...i must say the host is reali good and he can reali bring the crowd to join in with whatever games or activities they had organised for the night. heehee, being the more shy group, our table din reali participate much to those activities, only when the host had all the tables split into two equal groups, one called the Exxon, the other (which is our team) is called the Mobil and he had different challenges for each group to send representatives out to challenge the other group and earn points. though the tables are all of ppl who dunno each other, since we are grouped as a team, most of the ppl are still quite enthu abt the games including the ladies!:) challenges include to send out a guy from each team who has the hairest chest or the most number of men belts which are not made of silver buckle and for ladies, who has red colour in their dressing that night or which team had the most number of 5cent coins and alot others. haha..ended with just tossing coins to determine winner team of the night and is Mobil!! haha...oso get quite high even though we din contribute much but u just feel happy when your team won lor :) and with that is a reward of $100 Choice vouchers for each table which means $10 voucher for each person! haha...can tell how rich the company is rite, considering the fact that there are alot of other prizes, bronze, silver and gold prizes for the lucky draw that night. and rongrong and his colleague won the silver prizes! there are i think 40/50 silver prizes in all, alot, but still considered quite lucky to win a prize among so many ppl who was there that night leh!:D rongrong won a mini-grill set and his colleague won a mini-massage chair! :) so imagine how much the company spent on just the prizes alone and not to mention each person (member of Exxon Mobil) pays only $20 and same rate for the partner they bring. so actually the money collected is very minimally covered for the whole event lor! haha...rich rich rich!!! :P if only i own the company *think too much* hahahha :P the only not so good thing is i brought along a going to flat camera and a spare battery that was flat!!!!!!! arghhhhhhhhhhh........super angry with myself for not checking that the batteries are still charged la, in the end din reali take much photos, only took some using rongrong's phone :) but thanks to rongrong's colleague's wife, we had a polaroid taken too! :D nice nice!!!! i love taking polaroids cuz it always make me look nicer :P wahaaha...more pictures will be uploaded by rongrong on facebook! :D

time to head back to my notes and books! :D

went to ben and jerry event @ marina bay with rongrong ytd :) is his fren sheng told him abt the event cuz his company is one of the sponsors or sth, so he get to know abt it too. haven been eating ice cream from ben and jerry even though i heard frm frens that they will often have some promotions goin on at vivo. oso dunno y, maybe im not a sweet tooth person ba, so haven been goin ard to eat ice cream from different outlets different stores. some pictures below :)

coming to an end of hols...finally?

is almost the end of my recess week! which means in another 2days im heading back school for lectures and tutorials liao! and that means another cycle of studying, tutorials, tests, exams!!! argh!!!!!!!! never fail to grumble alot as a student with all the never-ending homework and tests to study for, but i think i will miss the days as a student when i eventually graduate eh? haha...that is wat makes humans contradicting always isn't it? been trying to read the notes for first week for my english modules. wonder why people in the past (n even presently) like to write so many articles! haha...some of them still quite easy to understand, but some will reali make you drift off halfway reading it lor -_-! but i have not read through all yet, not cuz i read very slow, but cuz i still have to purchase a textbook cuz some of the readings for next week comes from the textbook as well! hai...means nid to spend more money again! not to mention my acc is reali depleting due to my driving lessons. but again, this kind of money has to spend rite, is a skill that i think most ppl would want to have as they grow up, or even when you have the spending power, getting a car will become a want (probably a need) as well :) will reali have to refrain frm spending a bit aft september cuz most of my tuition would have ended by then. but i seriously doubt so i will spend less esp when i have to rush to hougang (if it was held there) for the coming Opens matches if they fall on weekdays when my lessons end late, i would have to rush down by taxi liao T__T boooo! if only im the CEO of the taxi company! hahahahaha....

on a side note, my teachers' day present! :) frm one of my students in my p6 science tuition class. a very simple present, but it means alot to the teacher because upon receiving the present you feel appreciated by the student! :) way to go miss chiok! and happy teachers' day to all teachers once again! :D

recess week

very weird to see a recess week when u haven even hear me start sch rite? haha...but wat to do, cuz of yog, nie had to postpone the start of sch for a week to tear down all the tentages that they set up for the yog village past 2 weeks. so u see ntu students already back in sch but not the nie students. not reali a nice way of putting our recess week on the first week of sch cuz im sure most of us end up wasting it away instead of wat we usually do, rush assignments and study for tests. so i had to remind myself to do sth useful like read the notes that were uploaded months ago during our holidays for our english module -_-! haha...

not feeling very well today, actually since ytd my gastric feels weird already. but im not sure what is the reason for it. feels a bit pain, stuffed and, just weird. was thinking izzit cuz i was overly hungry on saturday tat cause my gastric to feel this way @_@ hopefully it gets better!

tuition in another 2 hours time. gonna go nap abit before i go bathe n leave hse :)

yog volleyball games! :)

wooohooooo~~~ went to watch yog live volleyball today!! haha...i know the yog fever has been goin on for so long and i havent reali get into it until like today? haha...cuz cheryl went to pluck out teeth for her braces so got an mc from her sch attachment so jio-ed me yingying n christie to watch the last few volleyball matches! haha...so cheryl reached earlier to buy tickets for the matches, and initially we thought maybe will be a wasted trip, cuz dunno whether will there be tickets for us or not. in the end hear frm cheryl there's nobody buying lor -_-! haha...maybe is weekday ba, so not much of a crowd down to watch such games. so into the stadium we go!!! hahaha...so nice to step into toa payoh indoor court again. went in twice to play in the finals! haha...always like to tell my frens proudly abt it :P first in primary school for volleyball second in jc for volleyball! hahaha...very nice memories of the court in the different phase of my life :D today's matches were all not bad! esp get to watch singapore's youth team in action. think the players all not bad, considering they are still youths, think when they grow up they will become alot better players! :) but to compare spore players with other players frm say japan, peru or egypt, i think they still lack alot of experience and skills wise as well. hopefully spore will have better results in the future olympic games to come! :D

tml im goin down to watch the finals!!! haha...got tickets from my sec sch teacher leh! so nice of her!!! hahaha...if not must pay $30 lor! oso dunno still got tickets left to buy or not. then at night synergy training at chung cheng!all inspired to train very well on our own with ying cheryl and christie! :P heehee...another day of vb again! love it man!!! woohoo!!! :D

enjoying my slacking days :P

hahaha...ended my practicum liao will end up having nth much to do almost everyday :P waking up at 11plus 12plus everyday to eat my brunch and then is usually tuitions that take up most of my time now. am into the course of learning driving, but cuz i haven book a date for my practical test yet, im abit not too motivated to have many lessons now, partly cuz is reali expensive to have to pay $42 for each 1.5hrs of lesson, and also, till now i have reali get to be taught by my "real" instructor Mr Ong. he has been asking his colleague, Mr Toh to help him with his students cuz Mr Ong has far too many students liao-_-! and the thing is that Mr Toh is nice lar, but he can be abit anyhow oso leh i feel. mayb he reali think learning auto is very easy such that he can just lump everything he wan to teach in one lesson. the first lesson i had last tues was still quite fun, after all is my first time driving on the road. then the second lesson i learn parallel parking!!! -_-! told some of my frens n cousins abt it and they all say the same thing "So fast ar?" and i learn it in a multi-storey carpark, had to drive my way up to the narrow winding road in the carpark leh. but tat still ok. it was learning the parallel driving, i did it quite well the first 2 times. until another instructor and his student came and start learning next to my car (that instructor is Mr Toh's fren) and my instructor keep on talking to the other instructor and asking me to wait for the other car to parallel park finish then i park. so like wasted quite some time waiting. and the waiting make me forget how to turn and park lor. so like i was telling Mr Toh i abit forget liao, he stil say "why so fast forget?" in chinese. so trying a few times i like park not nice enough, then he still say "why suddenly park until like tat" -_-! then when it was almost time to go, he still ask me to park by the roadside let him go toilet. Zzzz...again another bit of time wasted there. but again, so far so good lar. learning new things or taking up another skill is always not easy in the first place. now i just hope my timetable to be out soon so that i can know what is my schedule like so that i can faster book a date for my practical :D

happy birthday to my rongrong once again!! finally cleared the mini surprises for him, and brought him to eat at The Mushroom Pot at OG Orchard point :) heehee..went there earlier to put the cake and the present there and then rush back to meet him. was supposed to meet him at je mrt, in the end i was abit late, so met him at redhill instead :D hahaha...think i was more excited than him that day lor! haha..in the end when we reach the restaurant, no other customers there! hahaha...then fake fake still tell rongrong i book the whole restaurants for him :P so nice of me rite! haha...den we eat eat eat, with rongrong keep looking around for his cake!-_-! very purposely rite, but i understand lar, birthday will tend to be more sensitive oso :P haha...and we were quite full liao, i had to walk to the counter and get the staff to bring out the cake! haha...and this rongrong stil fake fake pretend he dunno where im goin! haha...irritating lor he! but ok lar, the staff there was very nice, stil help me light a candle and bring out the cake :D and tada~~~~ sing birthday song for rongrong liao jiu start eating the cake! haha...by the way i got the recipe from sharon! haha...trouble her abit to send me the recipe a few days earlier so tat i could buy the materials from ntuc :) heehee...at least the cake was not too bad, stil edible. anw oso not much cooking or baking needed, just some mixing and stiring and there u go, the cheesecake! :)))) aft eating abit of the cake (cuz both of us were quite full from the buffet) rongrong had to bring the cake back home. so to prevent the cake from melting we took cab home! :) din stay out for long cuz i had to rush off to somewhere. so a small small celebration for my handsome rongrong!!! :D

end of 5 weeks of practicum!! :D

yippppppeeeeeeee~~ cant reali explain how relax i feel at the end of the 5 weeks of my practicum leh! haha...oso cant say i din enjoy the 5weeks such that i so hope it will end soon. but, think just cuz of the early waking up and the never-ending lesson plans, im just too tired lor :X but again, i start to miss the students, miss them surrounding me and calling me miss chiok! haha...but im sure i will see them soon, if i return back to the school for my teaching practice II. the teachers there, my SCM, they were all so friendly and nice! and i must say this is the best sch i had ever been to so far to be a teacher, not only cuz is my own primary school, but also a school where your opinions are heard, friends are made and where lots of fun to have!:D must personally go experience to understand what i mean. but of cuz, in all organisations there are some ppl out there who are just not blended into the whole big family. not because they are not welcomed, but just so they want to appear different, their thoughts and selfishness are just too ugly to be accepted and i have to say my poor fren had this kind of ppl as her CTs. no choice but to bear with it the whole of 5weeks. but our SCM is the best! can think from our point of view and treated us lunch on our last 2nd day! :)))) she still shared with us alot alot of experiences she had and she is a distinction holder for her practicum leh! haha...reali look up to her and i hope i can work towards to be as good as her in the years to come as a teacher myself :D had uploaded alot of photos taken in the last few days of my practicum up on facebook :)

and now my next mission will be for the big day!!! :D wahahahahaha...

last week :)

last week of prac liao!! woohoo!!! finally can have time to relax abit, watch tv aft dinner at home and not bury myself with my laptop to complete the never-ending lesson plans! haha...been reali tired and even got sick during this practicum. cuz i think the major cause would be the lack of slp lor. had to wake up early even though i slept late the previous night. but i must say i enjoyed and got the momentum during Week 2,3 even with the amount of work i have to do. now into the last few days, i cant reali describe how im feeling. mayb part of me feeling a bit sad cuz will have to say goodbye to my friends i made in the sch for the time being, until my next practicum next yr for 10weeks. most probably will be goin back to cps, so to say i will miss the sch, i think still ok lar :P maybe just those teachers, colleagues and students whom i may not teach again next yr. on the other hand, im looking forward to the end of the week, so that i can slp in till late next week onwards! hahaha...plus i got sth else to busy myself with! im taking driving lessons starting next week!!!!! haha...passed my final theory on the 24th july, and have been forgetting to blog abt it :P so decided to start my lessons next week, hopefully can have intensive lesssons packed over the month before sch start so that i dun waste my whole month away! :D abit cannot imagine myself on the road though, but stil i think is just another phase of my life taking up another skill! :)

no need to do anymore lesson plans this week cuz most of the lessons my CTs are taking over. just gonna clear all the markings and enjoy my breaks and end of the day game sessions with the teachers before the end of the week :) tml is dress down day! pe attire day rocks!! hahaha...playing telematches with the teachers at the end of the sch too! wooohooo!!! :)

on a side note, is the month of august liao!!!! wahahahha....gonna start to prepare things before the big day is here! :D

happy 7months anniversary to rongrong n me! :)

heehee...very very fast the end of another month liao! and this month is the 7th month anniversary for rongrong n me! :D :D :D i think is quite special leh, cuz of the number 7! the number that always come between the 2 of us :)))))))))) no elaborated celebration, just went to bugis to walk ard and see what things i can buy for my cooperating teachers cuz is coming to the end of my last week of practicum liao! plus i met my vb fren, Daisy, to collect the gifts i ordered for my 2classes of students frm her at bugis too! :) spent $70 for the gifts for the children, is actually erasers, with the disney characters on it, quite nice though is rather expensive. but considering i have 77 students to give, and to give sth practical instead of just candies and choc, i think is not too ex after all :D oh yar, and so rongrong n i went to eat in iluma, at Empire state! nv eat there before, so tot of trying:) quite like the restaurant, the pictures on the walls quite cute too! plus the servings were pretty big oso:) we ordered a main each, pizza and burgers, then with the buffalo wings as appetisers! yummy!! the food not bad not bad! dun mind go back eat again next time! :D

and i haven felt so relax on a weekend liao! cuz im finally left with last observation tml and im reali reali done with my practicum. haha...cuz i asked my CTs to take back most of the lessons so that they can do revision with the students for their CA2 next week. esp when the two classes that im having is the best class, i tot is very impt that my CTs have time with them to do revision tgt. wan them to get very good grades oso! :) will only be doin sci revision with them next week, so left the sci worksheets to do lor. and im slowly beginning to miss the students already :( cuz oso dunno next year will stil have them in my class or not. most prob the p4 wun, cuz next yr they p5 liao. left the p3 class lor :) nvm, will stil see them ard in sch. :)

last observation tml! the last and most nerve-wrecking one cuz the vice principal is sitting in! :X jiayou chiok hwee fen!

Rongrong graduate liao!!! :D

congratulations to rongrong!!! had his convocation in ntu today at nanyang auditorium. did not get to go into the auditorium to watch the ceremony itself but i was there before and after the ceremony to take and help rongrong take photos with his frens :) saw many graduates in their robes, so proud of themselves when wearing their robes leh :) haha...wonder how i would look like when i wear mine next year..........haha...to graduate from a college, a school, the feeling is always very contradicting. on one side u feel happy to be able to grad and move on to the next phase of life, on the other you would miss the days staying around the sch campus and titled yourself as a student. haha...so contradicting eh? but think tat's life leh.

rongrong graduated with first class honours!!! *clap clap clap* so so proud of him can. dunno how he managed to do it, but im sure is defintely not by luck. he got all it takes to get to the first class honours and im sure all his professors watching him from the audience seats were all very proud of him as well!! :) not easy to survive and grad successfully from university, not to mention about scoring good grades such that your certs look so nice with all the As and Bs! haha...jiayou to all who are still studying (including myself of cuz) and soon will be our turn to throw our grad caps high up into the air! :)

pheeeeeeew...another week down for the practicum. im seriously very very tired of doing the never-ending lesson plans, to think of the never-ending activities to teach and bring across concepts. i now understand why alot of teachers end their teaching career once they had served finish their bond. not that i have that thought now, but i just wonder if i could stay as long as my teachers had been... it was reali not an easy job. or perhaps because im a trainee now, under three CTs, taking classes which do not belong to me in the first place, im bounded to what i wan to do. is reali tiring to have to rack my brains to think of what to do for each lesson observed by my CTs, not because i do not like to teach, but somehow sth will go wrong during the lesson, or my lesson objectives or focus was not right from the beginning. but my CTs were so busy to look at my lesson plan before the lesson itself and can only tell me after the lesson itself. im seriously ok with all my CTs, because they were all very nice, and im not a least worried that im making mistakes in how i handle the class or how i teach some of the concepts in the class. was there to learn from all of the experienced teachers after all. but im just too tired lor. and to reali fall sick this week, and had to take mc -_-! haha...got a fever and was given 2days mc, but i took only one. the next day back to sch, was a bit breathless when i was teaching :P hai...gonna hope that my cough will subside very very soon so that i can do my best for the coming 3 observations this week! reali xiong week ahead, but i know it will be over very soon.

had to probably start teaching fractions for math, because the class would be able to grasp the topic on bar graphs pretty fast. goin to teach information report for the next two weeks with the p4 class,with the first lesson tml for my sup to observe. had to think of what to do with the class for sci experiment on wed other than the teacher demonstration itself. gonna hope everything will go on smoothly.... *cross fingers*

practicum aside, managed to meet up with a few groups of friends over the past few weeks. met up with the ah lians to celebrate my bday:) as usual, we ended up gossiping about our schools and the things we did with out classes. met up with zihui's gang, supposedly to celebrate me and liz's bday, in the end liz went mia, lyn was not feeling well so the few of us just had a simple dinner and dessert at a cafe before i rush home to mark my compositions.

went out with rongrong could be the only time i could divert my attention away from lesson plans for the time being :) went to his house ytd to play with his nephew! very cute little baby who likes to stick out his tongue and play with his own lips! haha...very cute leh :))))) babies always grow very fast and he was so much bigger than the last time i saw him :) going to grow up to be a handsome little boy very very soon :)

participated in the W3 cluster games held at westwood sec on fri, was a day of games for all the teachers from the school. had a fun time playing captains' ball with a few other colleagues from cps and westwood sec. had been about 10yrs ago since i last touched a netball? haha..skills wise cannot make it liao lar, but still had a very nice time playing:) but the game made rongrong waited for me for about 1.5 hrs at jp :((((

birthday celebration! :D :D

wooohoo!!! my turn to officially turn 22nd liao! :D haha...think is goin to pass super fast and soon im goin to hit 30 liao! haha...siao rite, only 22 and now thinking abt 8yrs later liao :P heehee...as i get older i just feel more blessed even with a simplest celebration or a simple msg greeting wishing me happy birthday, i feel thankful enough le :D heehee...went out with my family for a simple family dinner at plaza singapura. sis called along her bf and rongrong joined us too! :D first time eating all tgt as a family! :))))))) had to rush down after my tuition that day, but luckily got sis and her bf to drive us down. was quite tired aft my tuition, but luckily got some rest in the car. reached there and went over to ywca to fetch my mum frm her lesson then went over to eat at manhattan fish market! :) it has been awhile since i eat it liao, so suggested to eat there! chatted among ourselves while waiting for the food to arrive. and of cuz, we were lucky enough to reach early cuz as usual there was a big crowd queuing outside to come in! heehee...shared a platter with rongrong! the one we always eat when we go there. aft eating din reali walk ard cuz mum wans to go home n rest, so in the end we went home by train while sis n her bf went to walk ard ps. so rongrong went home too cuz he heading for his fren's hse later in the night for mj and soccer. and back home was lesson plans all the way for me :P

the big day!! today went out with rongrong!totally had no idea where he is goin to bring me to at all, only know that we are meeting at somerset mrt station:) aft tat we went to cathay to have our lunch tgt and watch Despicable Me! :D haha...the movie is very cute leh! esp the little gal, Agnus and those small yellow banana-looking creatures when they are speaking some foreign language when they appear! haha...had a good laugh watching the movie and after that i still din noe where we are heading to at all! haha...just follow blindly where rongrong bring me to, and keep guessing where are we heading to aimlessly :P haha...in the end we took a bus 143 towards pasir panjang! had our dinner at this small little cosy restaurant called Bistro One Zero Three, somewhere along the road down frm vivocity there:) hehehe..have not eaten at all at this restaurant and dunno how rongrong come to know abt this place too :P heehee...was a nice dinner (very filling one in fact)! we both ordered the same, fried dory fillet, and the serving was reali big! and this rongrong could not finish his food lor (i managed to finish mine:P) haha...then rite, i been suspecting that he got the staff there to keep a cake behind liao lor! cuz they just keep looking over at our side with those are-u-ready-for-ur-cake kind of expression! :P think cuz is my bday, that's y will feel a little bit too sensitive! haha...but im rite! but it was a little funny cuz they keep looking at rongrong to signal to them, then i was so paiseh that everybody will turn and look that i say can call bill and go home liao :P haha...so tada!!! my cake and present from rongrong arrived in front of me. this poor boy had to wake up early this morning to go get the cake frm swenson (toy story 3 picture on it!:D) and cab down to the restaurant before meeting me :D thank you rongrong!!!! :)))))))))))) he made me a card and bought me this uKimono Mini! haha...abit funny lar the present, but he is very thoughtful cuz i have been complaining that i feel that my tighs and calves are quite big since pri sch. so he wanted me to try using that, see if it helps :P haha...so next time see me observe my lower part of the body see got slim down abit or not k! haha :P and the card that rongrong did! i love it to the max leh!! haha...can open open open and open in 4 different ways and he stick photos up on each page! very nice very nice :))))))))) so after some photo-taking we cab back to my hse (scared the swenson ice cream cake will melt if we take bus)! then rongrong head back home aft tat to get ready for his first day of work tml!!!! :D

very nice day spent today and the weekend! drag goin back to my lesson plans but i noe the rest of the 4 weeks will pass very very fast! jiayou!!! :D
