yooohoo~~~ i'm back in spore!! haha...actuali was back on friday night, by the time reached home was already 1plus am liao. din have the energy to start blogging straight away and saturday was a busy day, woke up at 10plus, ate breakfast liao jiu faster unpack my luggage and set out the stuff i bought for my family members :D then after that faster bathe and head for my tuition and then back home again at 5plus to eat my brunch and change before i head for my cousin's wedding at Warren golf club :) sun started writing my blog and uploading some photos, but stupif fb cant let me upload all at one go, had to slowly upload ard 10-20 photos at a time so that will upload successful. din manage to finish my blog before i rush out to meet zihui and gang to celeb sharon's birthday! celebrated for her with my batct jc gals but nevertheless dun mind meeting them to catch up again. reach home quite late and i wanna slp early cuz today had to go sch early for the final briefing of the math event which will start tml!! busy eh? :P heehee...so here i am to blog abt wat i did in taiwan! :) cant reali say is a fantastic trip cuz some of our initial plans have to be cancelled due to the heavy rain on the 2nd day we reached taiwan, causing some of the places in taichung to have landslide. in the end we had to scrape some of the places that we wanted to go. but nevertheless, here i go! :)
Day 1
we took the 150pm flight frm terminal 1 to head towards tao yuan airport :) took jetstar plane and something dramatic happened on the plane itself when we were about an hour after we have took flight. this guy with his gf, shd be frm china, insisted to sit at the seats next to the side emergency exit when they did not pay for it. in the end the air stewardess had to keep persuading him to give up his seats and return to his original seats so that he will not obstruct the exit shd we require the exit for any emergency. after a while he gf relented and moved back to their original seats. however, the guy stubbornly insisted to sit there, and started shouted "为什么不让我坐这？ 为什么！" -_-! then this commotion started to get almost everybody's attention and after about 15mins or so, the air stewardess just could not do anything to ask him shift back, went to look for the assistant pilot (i think - cuz of her uniform) to make this announcement that due to one of the exits being obstructed, we had to go back to spore again unless the guy move away frm the exit! so this news shocked everybody and soon alot of ppl start to shout to the guy to move back, some even took pictures of him (i did too :P ) and the guy finally stood up, dunno y aft some time, he start to relent abit and move back to his original seat, which was on the same row as me but on the other side of the aisle -_-! dunno wat's on his crazy mind lor, think his gf felt very paiseh oso. in the end once we landed on taoyuan, two policemen came up to took him away. worth it meh? seriously sth wrong on his mind lor..so after we exited the plane, we took our luggages and move towards the counter to get our youth passes (only used it when we went to 故宫) and then head to another counter to buy our coach rides to our hotel at ximending. abt an hour ride later, we reached ximending! heehee..walked to our hotel 红藺阁饭店 to check in first, then came out to look for food for our dinner! first night there and we went to eat this 蚵仔面线 :) not the authentic ah zhong mian xian but it tasted very nice too!! came as a set with suan mei juice and a sausage. think cuz very hungry, so they all were reali tasty! :D after that walked ard ximending, cuz it was already quite late, so the initial plan to go to 师大夜市 was cancelled too. tot we will have time to go there the next few days, in the end did not oso :( nvm, next time! :))) before we head back to the hotel, we went to eat dessert at 三兄妹！peifen reali crave for it so badly that she was chanting abt it since we were at the airport lor! haha...so aft eating and walking, it was back to hotel to watch the variety shows and rest for the next day :)

Day 2
woke up at ard 8am and left the hotel at ard 9plus and we realised there were many shops that were not opened yet and to make things worse, it was raining-_-! in the end we had to walk ard for quite awhile before we can find some place to settle for our breakfast. we ate mian xian again! haha...but this time at 阿宗面线！was quite nice and the oyster was quite fresh too! :))) but the only thing is we have to hold the bowl and sit just outside the shop, cuz no proper tables and chairs to sit like how u will sit in a restaurant. but luckily still got stools to sit ard, and it was a quick one before we head to take the 捷运 to 北头. initial plan was to go to the famour hotspring area to experience a dip in the hotspring but cuz of the rain, we did not go up to the hotspring area cuz we thought the hotspring will be open air, and with the heavy rain, we wouldnt wan to risk falling sick too. so in the end we just looked ard the exhibition hall on how the hot springs are formed. not too interesting and seriously i got bored halfway :P haha..took some pictures there too, was just some self-entertainment ourselves :)) by the time we left beitou, we were already quite hungry after all the walking (cuz the area was quite slopey) and we head towards taipei city hall to go to taipei 101. din get a chance to take the lift up (i oso dunno y we didnt) only took pictures of the building frm far and it was quite cool cuz the building will be partially blocked by the clouds:) we went to the shopping mall, 新光三月 to have our lunch at Watami! we were all super hungry by then and started eating once the food was served! :) haha...after that we head to wufenpu for our first shopping frenzy! haha...but cuz it was still raining (yes, it rained the WHOLE day-_-!) it was qutie troublesome as we move frm shop to shop cuz not all shops have the canvas down to shield us frm the rain. but luckily aft awhile it became to drizzle instead of pouring so we just walk ard without our umbrellas. and ard 8plus we settle for dinner in a bubble tea shop, eating only the 炸鸡排 for dinner. aft that cuz it was a sunday night, most of the shops were closing and we had no choice but to head back to our hotel and retire for the night. in the end i was the one who bought the most stuff that night! haha...managed to get sth for all my family members and rongrong at wufenpu! :D some of my frenz, think they are not reali the shopping kind din reali manage to attack as much stuff as me :P slp and the next day begins...

woke up at the same time as before, left the hotel at ard 9plus again. like the day before, we din find any shops to settle for breakfast, so we had to eat at macdonalds which was quite near our hotel too :) same as spore, they have the different breakfast sets, but the only difference is they do not have big breakfast! haha...in the end i just have the sausage muffin with egg tgt with the harshbrown and coffee as a set. cuz taiwan din have any malays, their fastfood is not halal. so the sausage muffin has a slightly different taste because it contains pork! haha...i din realise that, was kelly who tasted the difference :) and the ppl there not only will return their trays, they will classify the trash accordingly as well. think was reali considerate of them leh! every min they are trying to get ppl to rmb to recycle stuff that can be recycled. aft breakfast we head to take the 捷运 and then to the train station to take to 九分. was quite a long ride down and i fell asleep in the train! haha..my eyes seemed to open only halfway the whole morning that day. think due to the lack to slp:P aft we alight frm the train, we took the public bus up to 九分老街 for some shopping of 黄梨酥 and food! tried the 粉圆 there too! :) walked ard the shops there, bustling little city with many shops that attracted many tourists there to shop and take photos! the scenery there was superb too! facing the sea, mountains and big blue sky. i bought this blueberry juice for my mum cuz it was said to help to cure her 干眼. something dramatic about this two bottles of juice i will tell u later... haha...so after shopping and photo-taking, we took a cab down to 野柳 to look at the Queen's head! rather well-known tourist attraction :) more photo-taking sessions there and some of the rocks there look reali unique. but taking cuz my camera is not those professional ones, i think i will end up taking the rocks to look like beehive :P haha...so din take much close-up shots. the security uncle there had to warn ppl frm walking beyond the red lines indicated cuz it will be too dangerous and they may fall off the cliff. he oso told us, due to the change in the weather conditions, the rocks there are getting smaller and smaller because of the strong wind that attacked the place every year during the monsoon seasons. aft that we took the same cabs which waited outside for us, and head to 基隆 for dinner! all push carts there with all the nice food awaiting us! :D heehee...ate the 豪大大鸡排 there! heehee...damn full can, but luckily i manage to eat finish the whole thing myself! haha...was quite full by then and not long aft we head back to hotel :)
Day 4
so fast n it was day 4 already :) we woke up slightly later, cuz past few days we learnt that if we leave the hotel too early, there's nth much for us to eat. so in the end we woke up 1hr later and left the hotel at ard 10am and we managed to find this small shop that sells 鲁肉饭! slurps!!! haha...in the end we each order one bowl plus some of the dishes like carrot cake and fried oyster to go with the rice! haha...we all thought it was the most sumptuous breakfast we have ever eaten over the past few mornings! :) haha..aft eating, we head down towards the 捷运 again to go to 淡水 for the day and guess wat? just outside ximending station (before we board the train) we saw 权怡凤 and 许朕荣! (Desmond Koh in case i got the characters wrong:P) hahaha...damn excited can, cuz in spore oso not reali have the chance to bump into them but in the end we get to see them in taiwan!! haha...so of cuz we stop for awhile and took a picture with them! heehee...and then off to 淡水! :) the weather that day was quite warm, but still, their weather no matter how hot there will still be the breeze to cool u down abit. not like spore where it is super humid. so we walked ard at the 淡水老街 and all of us enjoyed ourselves in the shops where they sell alot of cute small accessories and caps. of cuz there are shops selling some of the local food there oso :) after ard 2plus, we stop by the side of the sea and took some more pictures before we took a boat ride to 渔人码头 aka 情人桥 :) because of the good weather, we took alot more photos at the bridge itself again! haha..think was quite lucky cuz heard my er jie said that time when she went there was raining and super cold! so din reali enjoy herself as much too :P heehee...too bad wrong company for that day lar...情人桥 wat...my ahem ahem not there :P haha...din wait for the sun to set before we go, but the evening sun was nice enough a memory of the bridge there liao. so next, we head to 市林夜市! heehee...again a very sumptuous dinner at the big hawker centre next to the shopping area. u can see the 豪大大鸡排 there with the super long queue oso! but not so bad, the flow was quite fast :) din eat again cuz i've tried the prev day liao :) so off to shopping for the night! woots~~~ but i personally feel that the stuff there is much more expensive than wufenpu, so compared to the 2nd night, my shopping at 市林 is much lesser :P after which is hotel sweet hotel and we even bought the famous instant noodles back to hotel to eat cuz we were all famish aft shopping for that few hrs! :P bought the instant noodles frm the 7-eleven opp our hotel. wat is so special is the instant noodles has meat inside! is pack in a packet and u just have to pour it out like how u pour out the seasoning :) a few of us decided to buy home the instant noodles! and we did in the last day....

Day 5
not too bad a weather again today, left the hotel at 10plus again and settled our breakfast somewhere (i forgot where:P ) before we head to 故宫. is an exhibition hall where there are alot of exhibitions about the different pottery and art pieces the ppl over the centuries did. managed to use our youth pass to get 50% off for the entrance fee, so still quite worth it. some of the exhibitions were quite interesting but soon we were all bored of looking at POTTERY and PAINTINGS-_-! plus there were ALOT of tour groups there! and they got a smell leh! think they have been walking out in the sun since morning that's y they smell of sweat. reali buay tahan lor, esp when they all flood towards ur area while u are looking at some of the exhibitions. u only wan to faster evacuate the place before u die of suffocation @_@ haha...so in the end we left the place at ard 3plus and then had our late lunch at one of the shops near the 捷运 there (which we deemed as 黑店) cuz there were nobody in the shop and the owner din on the lights leh, just felt abit weird but it was ok after awhile...haha..no choice, food was limited in that area so a quick one in that shop. had beef noodles and i thought i was not bad! im not that kind of person that will hiam too much :) so after that was back to 市林夜市! haha...cuz some of them din reali manage to buy wat they wan the prev night, so we decided to go back again since our schedule permits. din reali on for the idea to split up to shop like wat we did the prev night cuz me and the other fren bought enough stuff after all the shopping liao, so dun mind just walk ard as a group, but think the rest are more comfortable to smaller groups so in the end we split like the first night for about an hour plus before we meet again to have our dinner tgt :) guess wat again! haha...we saw 康康 and 陀中康 (and one of the twin in the show 就要酱玩 i forgot his name liao) ! another tick to our list of "Meet celebrities in Taiwan"! haha...they were filming show, think sth like the 食字路口 cuz they patronises the stalls there and eat the food too. took some pictures but quite blur cuz ALOT of ppl pushing ard to get a better view of them! nearly suffocated and had a hard time getting out of the crowd! :X after that, cuz we were all tired of walking for so many days, we went for a foot reflexology! haha...think is abt NTD 540 for ard 45mins for head shoulder back and feet! our poor feet with the sores and aches finally get to relax abit. and i happen to be the lucky one to get the senior shifu who told me about which organs inside my body i shd pay more attention to when he pressed some parts of my feet and the pain was inbearable! X_X the rest of my frens din get anything frm their shifu at all leh, and i tried to explain abit wat my shifu told me to my frens too :) and aft that was on the way back to hotel to rest for the day!! :) forgot if we stopped at Watsons and Momo in ximending, cuz usually we will stop there the past few nights on our way back to hotel cuz my frens will get alot of masks as gifts for their frens :P

woke up even later than the prev few days cuz most of us were quite tired aft walking ard the past few days. haha...left the hotel ard 12plus and almost all the shops in ximending were opened by then. alot of choices for brunch, in the end we settled at the curry rice shop (obviously most of the customers inside were singaporeans-_-!) haha...had a super full set lunch before we head for 中正纪念堂 (Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall) to watch the soldiers march ard when they change shift. it was again a rainy day and it was quite cold when we reached the place as the wind was quite strong! luckily the memorial hall is sheltered and the rain slowly subsided after some time. cuz is an hourly shift, if u wan to watch them change shift, shd reach ard 5-10mins before each hour. we din noe that and be the time we reach the hall, it was already 415pm. so we nid to wait another 40mins or so before we can see the soldiers march in. so we walked ard and explore abit, some exhibition halls at the different levels too, but we din pay much attention to the exhibitions again (nearly vomit when we saw the word exhibitions :P) haha...loiter ard until 450 before we go back to the hall again and shortly aft, 3 soldiers came marching in! quite nice and they are very neat and uniform in their movements lor!!! haha...but abit funny cuz they took lift down to that level. haha...got a shock when they first enter the hall cuz they stomped their feet real hard. with the studs on their boots and the echo in the hall it was quite loud. march march march, throw their guns/rifles ard performing stunts, the initial 2 soldiers came down frm where they previously stood rooted to and not long aft all 5 of them march back and took lift to dunno which level. was still waiting for them to change shift lor, but actuali the 4 to 5pm is the last shift of the day! haha..imagine if we miss this last shift we cant even see anything lor. if not usually they will march in (3 soldiers) then 2 of the 3 will replace the 2 originally standing there one. and off we go, heading towards wufenpu again to do some more shopping! haha...ate dinner at 胡须长鲁肉饭! super worth it cuz each bowl of rice cost only NTD 10! tgt with some other dish like dumplings soup and nuggets before we head to do some more shopping again. then back to hotel for the night where we each bought some sparkling juice and tidbits and they came over to me and peifen's room to watch tv and chill abit before we rest for our last night in taiwan :) initially wanted to go sing K but when we reached the ktv area, the hours were too long and think some of them were too tired, we decided to scrape the idea and head back to hotel to chill instead. beauty slp aft that.... :)

last day in taiwan liao!!! argh...just when im getting used to travelling ard, my lips not as dry as the initial few days, is time to head home! haha...but ok lar, will feel 舍不得 leaving taiwan because i know i have alot more places there which i haven explore yet. but on another hand, i do hope to faster get home and slp on my comfy bed! :P haha..din manage to do much stuff on the last day, woke up at ard 1030 to bathe and pack all my stuff into my bag before we shift everything frm our room to joanna's bro and father's room next door cuz we can check out aft 4pm for their room whereas we ours has to clear by 12. so in the end we can put all our luggages in that room while we head out for our lunch (plus breakfast) and we walked to carrefour to buy our instant noodles!! heehee..had to go all the way there to buy those pack in packets, so that we wun waste so much space trying to squeeze in bowls of instant noodles :P we oso settled our lunch there, cuz xingjuan din try steak before, so i suggested to try the steakhouse inside carrefour :) set meals again for all of us, and i manage to eat finish all my share leh! must say is quite filling though, tgt with the steak is the soup, ceasar salad, free-flow drink and ice-cream! woots~~~ and this meal let us use finish our common fund! haha..but joanna had to top up abit to cover everything though. thank you joanna! :) the one who plan this trip and also our treasurer of the common fund :))) so aft lunch, we walked back to ximending area where joanna and xingjuan decided to go for a haircut in this salon called 乱剪! haha...saw this salon on the first day we reached ximending and we thought it was quite interesting. in the end joanna, her father, xingjuan n kelly went into the salon while joanna's bro, joel roam ard on his on and myself n peifen went to buy the masks that she nid to get for her frenz:) did some last min shopping myself too, bought eye masks for my er jie, forgot abt her order until i see the ones she bought before when she went taiwan last time. bought all the masks in cosmed, one of the few beauty shop in taiwan and that is where peifen get to exchange her stickers for 小丸子! haha...so happy for her leh, cuz she is reali lucky to get the one she wan without getting to see what is in the box leh! so is reali based on luck one..dunno y i oso very happy for her :D aft that we went back to the hotel n wait for the 4 of them to come back frm the salon before we all head to outside the kfc to wait for our coach 飞狗 to bring us back to taoyuan airport. then came a public bus leh! luckily at the time we board the bus still quite vacant, cuz the next few stops, alot of ppl with many luggages board the bus too!-_-! and we thought we had to sit this bus all the way to the airport. but luckily, we stopped at some point where bigger coaches awaited us! haha..but we had to drench ourselves abit cuz outside was raining rather heavily..so had to walk in the rain when we change frm one bus to the other. and then it was a ride all the way to taoyuan airport. din reali sit down n settle our dinner, but me n kelly just went to the coffeebean there to buy sth to fill our stomach before the 4hrs ride. and so when i tot everything was well and was soon to be home sweet home, we entered the gantry and started walking towards the checking of our check-in luggages, when the traumatising thing happened. think u will say im the forgetful one that cause it. I PLACED THE TWO BOTTLES OF BLUEBERRY JUICE FOR MY MUM IN MY CHECK IN LUGGAGE!!! Zzzzz....sian to the max can, cuz i bought the juice on the 3rd day and i happily placed inside my bag pack without checking again on the last day. so of cuz, the officer ask to check my bag and took out my two bottles of juice. i was so scared can, cuz i was told to either finish drinking (impossible lor, cuz is supposed to be mixed with water to drink) or throw it away!!! hai...i nearly, but i din, burst out crying lor...in the end i did sth! haha...dun think i wan to say here scared the taiwan police come n catch me :P haha...anyone who is interested ask me again when u see me! :P heehee...and then it was all the way fly fly fly back to spore!!! lots of turbulence during the ride but i think the traumatising event make me not scared of the turbulence shake liao :P haha...buy some stuff frm the dfs and then it was cab home with peifen :)))))))))))))
wooooo~~ and that's the end of my taiwan trip! haha...not too eventful, din cover alot of the places in taiwan, cant get to try the hot spring in beitou, din get to go to sun moon lake, go to 十分 to release the 孔明灯, try some of the water sports in 肯丁, take the lift up taipei 101, try the speed bullet train, eat alot more other good foods in taiwan.......lots of stuff i din get to do yet leh, so how not to go back to taiwan again leh??? haha..so will look forward to goin there again in a yr or two time!! :D all in all, a happy trip with my sec sch frens and get to know kelly (realised we both have similar taste aft doin shopping tgt:P ) alot better! :))))) and till then, i will cya gals soon!!! :D
