and yes!!!!! practicum is officially over!!!! haha...actually last week of school was a rather short and relaxing one since we no longer have to take anymore lessons as our CTs took back most of the lessons already. just that i still helped my CT marked some of the students' worksheets and corrections and let her return to the students on time. other than that, most of us trainees were doing relief like mad. i wonder why almost everyday there is a pool of teachers on medical leave/away on courses. but well, now being a trainee of cuz with the few periods that we have, we cant really complain as much too. but miss sim, the teacher who arranged the relief for this week, apologized to us for throwing so much relief work over the two days, thus on thurs and fri we do not have any single period of relief! heehee...so it was a slack and prepare presents time! :) especially on friday, i feel like i am like a santa clause! haha...giving away to all my darling students the gifts i bought for them :) i bet i will miss the two classes which i won't be teaching when i report back to CPS. but to count myself lucky, i am given two best classes to teach when i return as a beginning teacher, taking over a teacher going away on maternity leave. and one of the two classes which i will be teaching is a class that i have taught since last year's practicum, 5.1. i feel the stress when ms siah assigned the best class for me as form class. i fear that i can't deliver the results that is both accountable to the school as well as to the parents!!! *scratch head pull hair bite lips* and i am so motivated to go and get more assessment books myself to revise those concepts (EL and MA) myself in this june holidays:P well, and the last day of practicum i have a overflow of different emotions. happiness that practicum is over, sadness that i won't be teaching those classes which i have developed strong bonds with, anxiety because i do not know what is awaiting me in the near future, excitement because i am goin back to nie to meet all my friends and listen to all their stories for this 10weeks of practicum and the ultimate emotion, a great sense of emptiness because all of a sudden i can stop churning out lesson plans after lesson plans. looking back, i really salute myself for this 10weeks that had passed. i managed to clear it without taking any medical leave, had some cough here and there in this period, but i am still way fit enough to pull it through and enjoyed myself throughout these toiling yet satisfying weeks :) and i guess with all these flood of emotions which i told no one, i ignored my rongrong on the train ride to play vb on friday! haha...shall skip the details but i think with those unsettling emotions and addition of my pms-ing, i cant help but show my little tantrum over something minor. heehee...shall learn to control myself more next time! but rongrong must learn to pacify me abit oso leh~~~~~~ heeheehee...
went out for lunch with all the 8trainees to eat at Bossess restaurant at Vivocity, a treat from the 3 of us who got distinctions to the rest of them :) the restaurant really serve good food!! must go try the food there again! :) the dim sum is really nice. many thanks to min shan for introducing that place to eat! :) and of cuz partly due to the reason for the light-hearted mood that each of us had that day being the last day of the practicum that the food tasted so good. all photos up on facebook! just a couple here to round up this tedious practicum and putting a wonderful closure to it. a nice experience for me definitely, and i have gained alot in this practicum :) the end of the practicum, the beginning of the new journey as a full-fledged teacher. wonder what lies ahead in the future, but i am sure my passion to provide all the students who step into my class the best that i can give will be my ultimate priority and let's just hope that this passion will be undying and ever heated up for as long as can be :))))))
jiayou hweefen, a long journey awaits...... :)
